How does the watch tell time?
The Freak X makes the movement part of the display. An hour disc completes one rotation every 12 hours, while a flying carousel rotates once per hour to indicate the minutes. The self-winding UN-230 runs at 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour, and has a stated 72-hour power reserve. The manufacturer lists 21 jewels and a silicon escapement. The February 2026 release describes a silicon oversized balance wheel and spring, silicon escapement wheel and anchor, and an oversized oscillator.
What is distinctive about the Edition 2 design?
The black DLC titanium case frames a Carbonium hour disc made from upcycled aerospace carbon fibre woven with vivid orange epoxy resin. Gumball 3000 says each disc has its own three-dimensional pattern. It is an orange-accented hour disc, rather than a conventional orange dial.

The open-worked black rubber strap has orange inserts and stitching. An orange Super-LumiNova ring surrounds the wheel, while white Super-LumiNova appears on the indexes and bridges. The combination carries the collaboration’s black-and-orange palette into both the case and the movement display.
