UNDONE introduced two Batman 80th Anniversary chronographs on December 5, 2019: The Caped Crusader and The Dark Knight. They share a Grade II titanium cushion case and the same announced dimensions; the main difference is visual. The Caped Crusader is black and yellow, with a tachymeter and luminous Batman-inspired dial details, while The Dark Knight takes a quieter, grey noir approach.
What is the difference between the two UNDONE Batman watches?
Both watches were designed for the 80th anniversary of Batman, but they draw on different visual cues. UNDONE’s launch announcement describes an agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to license the characters and imagery globally for three years. Oracle Time’s launch coverage also reports the pair at £305 each in the UK; that, like UNDONE’s USD 359 RRP, is a historical launch price, not a current offer.

How the designs differ
The Caped Crusader: the bolder Batman tribute
The Caped Crusader is the more immediately graphic option. Its black-and-yellow palette, “80” tachymeter mark and luminous detect-a-scope and Bat-Signal references make the Batman theme prominent rather than subtle. The icy-blue hands and indices add contrast to the dial.
The Dark Knight: a quieter, noir-inspired treatment
The Dark Knight uses a two-tone grey palette and an understated Batman emblem, described in the launch coverage as drawing on the visual language of black-and-white film. The emblem is debossed on a subdial; luminous details and blue chronograph counters provide the brighter accents.

Shared case, dimensions and presentation
UNDONE announced both models with a Grade II titanium cushion case measuring 40 mm in diameter, 43 mm including the crown, 48 mm lug-to-lug and 13.3 mm high. Those figures describe the stated case dimensions, not how either watch will wear on a particular wrist; no wrist-specific fit or comfort observations are established here.
UNDONE said the titanium construction reduced weight by 25% compared with its regular Urban series. That percentage is the brand’s comparison, not an independently reported measurement. The launch materials also describe an open glass caseback with a commemorative Batman 80th Anniversary badge and a metal carrying case bearing the Bat emblem.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose The Caped Crusader if you want the more overt Batman look, especially the black-and-yellow color scheme and distinctive dial imagery.
- Choose The Dark Knight if you prefer a restrained grey design and a subtler emblem.
- Compare the stated dimensions with a watch you already own if case size is a concern. The shared measurements alone cannot establish comfort or fit across different wrists.
Launch prices and what is not established
UNDONE listed a USD 359 RRP in its December 2019 announcement, while Oracle Time reported £305 each at launch in the UK. These figures are historical. Current stock, current pricing, resale values and live listings have not been verified, so they should not be treated as available offers.
UNDONE said a portion of proceeds would support the Hope for Henry Foundation, but the announcement did not specify the portion or report a donation total. Fratello later described the collection as UNDONE’s first Grade II titanium watch; that retrospective supplies brand context, not evidence of present availability.

The launch materials cited here do not establish the movement caliber, water resistance, crystal or strap material, production quantity, or whether either model was a limited edition. No claim about those specifications or edition status should be inferred from the Batman branding or anniversary packaging.
