The URWERK UR-105 CT Streamliner is an automatic satellite-hours watch that URWERK introduced in September 2017 in two finishes. Both were listed at CHF 65,000 before tax at launch. That is a 2017 list price, not a current retail price or a resale value, and the sources behind this guide do not establish what the watch sells for today.

The thickness figure differs between sources. URWERK’s official sheet gives 17.8 mm, while Escapement Magazine’s March 2018 review reports 17.3 mm. Treat 17.8 mm as the manufacturer’s stated value and 17.3 mm as one reviewer’s reading.
Launch price and what it covers today
URWERK’s September 2017 sheet lists CHF 65,000 before tax for either finish. Escapement Magazine’s review, published 20 March 2018, gives the same figure as the recommended retail price as at 5 March 2018, excluding taxes. Two sources agreeing on the 2017 to early 2018 price does not make it a current price. Retail prices for independent watches change, and tax treatment depends on where you buy.
For a current figure, ask URWERK directly or check an authorised dealer. Marketplace pages show what sellers are asking, which is a different thing. The Chrono24 reference page for the UR-105 CT showed live listings when it was reviewed. Those asks can change at any time, they are not confirmed sale prices, and a handful of listings does not amount to a reliable market value.

#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The two original finishes
- Titanium with mirror-polished steel. The polished steel element provides the bright finish the brand shows in its launch material.
- Titanium with black PVD-coated steel. The steel is coated in black physical vapour deposition, giving a darker, matte-looking presentation.
Both were launched at the same price, so the choice between them comes down to appearance.
How the satellite hours and seconds read
Wandering satellite hours
Four hour satellites, each carrying three hour numerals, travel along a minute track. The active hour is the one passing against that track, so reading the time means checking which satellite sits at the minute position. The layout is unusual, and Escapement’s reviewer described it as needing a moment to get used to.

Digital seconds and power reserve
The digital seconds display shows seconds in 10-second integers rather than every second, and Escapement’s reviewer found it somewhat difficult to read. Power reserve is shown on its own indicator. URWERK says the digital seconds markers are made by photolithography and that the openworked element weighs less than 0.10 grams. That weight figure is the brand’s own claim, not a measurement taken by an independent lab.
Winding and the FULL, RED and STOP lever
Automatic winding is governed by twin turbines, and a rear lever selects one of three settings:

- FULL: wrist movement winds the barrel spring at full effect.
- RED: winding action is reduced.
- STOP: automatic winding is disengaged, so the crown can be used to wind the watch by hand.
The upper cover opens by sliding a latch, which exposes the movement. Use STOP before winding with the crown if you want to avoid the automatic system engaging while you turn it.
Case, size and wearing it
The case measures 39.5 mm wide and 53 mm long, so its footprint is near-rectangular rather than round. Escapement’s reviewer reported that the shape did not sit awkwardly on the wrist and found the watch comfortable to wear. That is one person’s experience, and fit depends on wrist size and how you like a watch to sit, so it should not be taken as a guarantee.

Variants that are not the original Streamliner
Three configurations share the UR-105 CT designation, but they are different products. Do not treat them as interchangeable when you compare listings or prices.
| Configuration | Case | Launch price before tax | Source and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Streamliner, titanium with mirror-polished steel | Titanium with mirror-polished steel | CHF 65,000 | URWERK product sheet, September 2017 |
| Streamliner, titanium with black PVD-coated steel | Titanium with black PVD-coated steel | CHF 65,000 | URWERK product sheet, September 2017 |
| Kryptonite | Titanium hunter case coated with AlTiN | CHF 65,000 | URWERK product sheet, June 2018 |
| Maverick | Titanium case with bronze bezel | CHF 67,000 | URWERK product sheet, January 2019 |
The Maverick was a limited edition, with production capped at 22 watches according to URWERK’s January 2019 sheet. A listing for a Kryptonite or Maverick is not a listing for the original Streamliner, even when the model name appears in the title.

What the makers say about the design
Martin Frei, chief designer and co-founder, is quoted in URWERK’s September 2017 material: “The Streamliner is a minimalist piece, with few frills and clean lines. It has a very vertical structure.”
Felix Baumgartner, master watchmaker and co-founder, is quoted in the same material: “Our watches are unique because each model has required an original design effort.”
Checks before you buy or value one
- Confirm the configuration: original Streamliner, Kryptonite and Maverick each have different cases and launch prices.
- Read the listing’s date and treat the price as an ask, not a completed sale.
- Compare case thickness on the actual watch if fit matters, since published figures differ by 0.5 mm.
- Check that the digital seconds display, which updates in 10-second steps, suits how you read the time.
The sources cited here cover the watch’s design, its 2017 launch price and the early reviews. They do not cover service history, condition-based valuation or current stock, so those points need checking with the seller or URWERK.
The Bottom Line
The UR-105 CT Streamliner is well documented as a 2017 launch: automatic movement with 48 hours of power reserve, satellite hours, and a launch price of CHF 65,000 before tax in either finish. Its current price is not established by these sources, so verify it with URWERK or an authorised dealer before relying on any figure.
