How the UR-110 satellite display works
Instead of conventional central hands, the UR-110 presents the time on the right side of the watch. Hour modules orbit on planetary gears, carrying the minute indication along the display. As the modules travel across the scale, the wearer reads the current hour and its corresponding minutes.

Why it was called the final edition
URWERK presented the Bakélite watch as one last mission for the UR-110, with a dedicated auction intended to benefit charity. Monochrome Watches reported on 8 October 2021 that the auction was scheduled for 15–17 October 2021 and that most proceeds were intended for the Swiss Red Cross. That announcement documents the plan at launch; the sources available here do not confirm the auction’s outcome, final price or present owner.

There is no established current listing or retail availability for this unique watch. Its one-off status and announced auction do not show whether it later changed hands or is available now.

Collectors interested in the wider UR-110 family have a separate route to investigate. A collector guide updated in September 2026 describes UR-110 watches as available pre-owned and says UR-LEGENDS periodically offers refurbished examples with a stated three-year international pre-owned warranty. Another UR-110 is not the Bakélite final edition. When comparing family examples, assess the individual watch and its documentation rather than assuming that the anniversary model’s details apply to every reference.
