What is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Everest?
The Everest editions are special versions of the Overseas collection associated in launch coverage with explorer and photographer Cory Richards. Hodinkee’s 2021 report identifies the Chronograph as reference 5510V/000T-B923 and the Dual Time as reference 7910V/000T-B922, with 150 examples of each. Hodinkee’s launch coverage describes both as titanium-and-steel watches with matte grey-blue dials and 150 m water resistance.
The launch announcement framed the models as sporting watches tied to exploration. La Cote des Montres reproduced Vacheron Constantin’s description: “A symbol of discovery and openness to the world, Overseas explores new heights of elegance and robustness with two new models radiating a resolutely sporting temperament.” That is the brand’s launch language, not an independent assessment of performance. La Cote des Montres’ 2021 announcement provides the attributed wording.
What is the difference between the Everest Chronograph and Dual Time?
The Chronograph is the larger watch and is built around elapsed-time measurement. The Dual Time is smaller and offers a second time-zone display with day/night indication and date. The specifications below are those reported in Hodinkee’s 2021 launch coverage; they describe the editions at release, not a current product listing.

Choose the Chronograph for elapsed-time measurement
The 42.5 mm Chronograph uses calibre 5200/2 and can measure up to 12 hours. It is the larger and thicker option of the pair. The launch specification lists a 52-hour power reserve.
Choose the Dual Time for another time zone
The 41 mm Dual Time uses calibre 5110 DT/2. Its second-time-zone display is accompanied by a day/night indicator and date, and its launch specification lists a 60-hour power reserve. Its case is 1.5 mm smaller in diameter and 0.9 mm thinner than the Chronograph.

How many were made?
Hodinkee reported 150 pieces of each edition in 2021, meaning the two models were separately limited to 150 examples apiece. The report does not establish how many remain in circulation today.
What size is the Everest Overseas?
There is no single case size for the pair: the Chronograph measures 42.5 mm in diameter and 13.7 mm thick, while the Dual Time measures 41 mm by 12.8 mm. These dimensions come from Hodinkee’s 2021 release specifications.

Are the Everest editions still available?
Hodinkee reported fall 2021 boutique availability and historical launch prices of $37,000 for the Chronograph and $31,300 for the Dual Time. Those are release-era figures, not current prices or evidence of stock. The editions are not shown on Vacheron Constantin’s current Overseas collection page; that absence does not by itself establish formal discontinuation. Current availability and resale value are not established by these records.
One secondary-market record also illustrates why reference details should be checked against the specific watch. Sotheby’s 2023 auction listing describes an Overseas Chronograph Everest as reference 5500V/000T-B923, whereas Hodinkee’s 2021 launch article gives 5510V/000T-B923. The sources report different references; the auction entry is a historical listing, not definitive evidence of the launch reference or present market value. Sotheby’s 2023 listing.

What straps came with the watches?
Hodinkee’s launch coverage lists a grey Cordura fabric strap and a grey rubber strap for each edition. Vacheron Constantin describes an interchangeable strap-and-bracelet system for the Overseas collection generally, but that does not establish that third-party straps fit either Everest reference. Verify compatibility with the exact reference and attachment system before buying an alternative.
