What makes the Venezianico Nereide Acquaforte different?
Its defining feature is the case decoration. Venezianico describes a Renaissance-inspired acanthus-leaf pattern engraved into the 316L stainless-steel case, with black ink applied by hand to the recessed areas. The contrast gives the case a more ornamental character than the straightforward black dial and three-hand layout might suggest.
Venezianico’s explanation of its Acquaforte technique is that a protective layer is applied, the design is engraved, exposed metal is etched with acid, and ink is then worked into the engraved sections by hand. This describes the manufacturer’s process; it is not an independent examination of the case. Venezianico’s Nereide Acquaforte product page also describes a semi-matte black dial with polished indices and black Swiss Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices, which the brand says glows green.
How big is the Venezianico Nereide Acquaforte?
Venezianico lists the case at 42 mm in diameter, 49 mm lug-to-lug, and 11.9 mm thick. Those figures help describe the watch’s footprint, but they do not establish how it will wear on a particular wrist; no firsthand fit assessment is available.

The manufacturer lists a hand-aged leather strap and engraved buckle on its US page. It does not state the strap width in the consulted material, so check the exact lug width and attachment details before choosing an aftermarket strap or bracelet. What movement is in the Nereide Acquaforte?
The listed movement is the Japanese Miyota 9039 automatic. The watch has three hands and no date display. The manufacturer’s published information does not establish this model’s measured accuracy, power reserve, or performance in use, so those should not be inferred from the movement name alone.

Is the Nereide Acquaforte water resistant?
Venezianico specifies 20 ATM, equivalent on the product listing to 200 m or 656 ft, and a screw-down crown. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The rating alone does not document the condition of an individual watch or confirm its resistance after wear or service.
