Professional Diver is a large, quartz-powered dive-style watch whose appeal rests on a legible dial, an easy-to-grip rotating bezel and a substantial 45 mm case. Victorinox lists reference 241733 as ISO 6425 certified and rated to 200 m, but those are manufacturer specifications—not results of an underwater test in the 2016 review this article examines. Fratello Watches reviewer Robert-Jan Broer said he is not a diver; his account is useful for describing how the watch looked and felt to him, not for proving dive performance.
What watch does this review cover?
The title matches Robert-Jan Broer’s hands-on review for Fratello Watches, published December 21, 2016. The I.N.O.X. Professional Diver is a family with multiple references and variations, so details should not be transferred automatically from one version to another. Victorinox’s current regional listing for reference 241733 is the clearest specification set here; it is not established that this is the exact reference Broer handled.
For the listed 241733, Victorinox specifies a 45 mm stainless steel case, 14 mm height, 145 g weight and 22 mm lug width. It lists a rubber strap, date, luminescent hands, unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-in caseback and 200 m / 20 ATM / 660 ft water resistance. These are manufacturer figures and claims on the Victorinox product page, not independent measurements or test findings.
The product page also says this listing includes a translucent protective bumper with a removable magnifying glass. Check the exact reference and regional package before assuming another Professional Diver comes with the same accessories.

How does the Professional Diver wear and read?
Size and presence
Broer describes the Professional Diver as the larger 45 mm counterpart to the 43 mm I.N.O.X. Paracord, with the rotating bezel as a key distinction. He found the case substantial and thick, but proportionate. That is one reviewer’s impression; it does not establish how the watch will fit a particular wrist. The 241733 listing’s 14 mm height and 145 g weight make trying it on especially relevant if you prefer a compact or light watch.
Dial and bezel
Broer found the dial legible and the bezel easy to grip. He describes its 60-minute scale and luminous marker as useful for timing. Victorinox’s 241733 page separately lists luminescent hands and a unidirectional bezel. A timing bezel can help track elapsed time at a glance, but neither the reviewer’s impressions nor the product specifications establish suitability for a specific dive or dive profile.
Rank #2
- Engineered, manufactured and tested at our own factory in Delémont, Switzerland
- Swiss-made professional diving watch with ISO 6425 certification and water resistance up to 300 m
- Unidirectional rotating bezel with high-visibility 20-minute time interval gradation
- Tool-free, changeable, handwoven paracord strap for quick and easy personalisation, added rubber strap and accessories wallet
The 2016 reviewer also questioned the practical value of the 24-hour scale. That is his preference, rather than a general verdict: whether it earns space on the dial depends on how you use the watch.
Movement, construction and dive-watch claims
The reviewed watch is described as quartz. Broer reports an end-of-life battery indication, but that detail comes from his 2016 account and is not listed on the current 241733 page cited here. Victorinox’s 2018 corporate catalog identifies a Ronda 715 quartz movement for several Professional Diver references, including 241733, while also describing a 316L stainless-steel case, sapphire crystal with triple anti-reflective treatment, protected screw-down crown, luminous hands and markers, and rubber-strap or steel-bracelet variants. Those are historical catalog details; match the reference and production version before applying them to a particular watch. The catalog is available as a Victorinox catalog.

Victorinox currently identifies reference 241733 as ISO 6425 certified and states 200 m water resistance. The Fratello review also reports those claims, alongside a screw-down crown and caseback and sapphire crystal, but it is not an underwater test: Broer explicitly says he is not a diver. Treat certification and depth rating as the manufacturer’s stated specifications, not a guarantee for a particular use, condition or dive plan.
What did the reviewer think of the strap and bumper?
Broer found the rubber strap comfortable. His view of the translucent bumper was less positive: he considered it gimmicky and questioned whether a heavy user would need it. These are individual opinions, not evidence that every owner will find the strap comfortable or the accessory unnecessary. The bumper and magnifier are part of the package Victorinox lists for 241733; confirm that they are included with the specific reference being considered.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is the I.N.O.X. Professional Diver a good dive watch?
On paper, reference 241733 has the core features a reader may be checking for in a dive watch: Victorinox states ISO 6425 certification and 200 m water resistance, and lists a unidirectional bezel and luminescent hands. The 2016 review adds a firsthand account of bezel grip and dial legibility, but not underwater use. Buyers should verify the exact reference, its condition and the manufacturer’s applicable guidance rather than infer a safe depth or dive profile from the number alone.

- The epitome of underwater reliability: meet the Victorinox Dive Pro Automatic
- A timepiece of resolute resilience and outstanding technicality, it's ready to go at any global time
For everyday wear, the trade-off is clear: a prominent 45 mm, 14 mm-high watch weighing 145 g on the current 241733 listing offers a large timing bezel and solid presence, but may feel too bulky for someone seeking a slim, light watch. The rubber strap’s comfort and the reviewer’s reaction to the bumper are personal judgments, so try the watch on if possible.
