What was Waldor & Co.’s first automatic watch?
It was the Continual 39 Amalfi. In its 16 January 2024 launch article, Andreas Christensson called it the company’s “very first automatic watch” and described the change as a milestone after an assortment made up of quartz watches. He said customers had often requested an automatic movement. That account is the brand’s own description of its launch, not an independent market study.
Who are the three brothers behind Waldor & Co.?
Waldor & Co. identifies the founders as Mikael, Andreas, and Johan Christensson. Its brand story says the brothers spent childhood summers in Bovallstrand, a fishing village on Sweden’s west coast. The company connects those surroundings to its design outlook, which it describes as Scandinavian minimalism blended with Southern European influences.
The brand story also reports more than 200,000 customers and sales to 110 countries. It does not specify an as-of year for either figure, so they should be read as company-published claims without a clear measurement date.

What does the Continual 39 Amalfi look like?
The launch article describes a classic, minimalist design influenced by Scandinavian aesthetics. Its two-level dial has a recessed central disc and a raised outer ring with Roman numerals and a railway minute track. The current US listing describes the dial as black and double-layered, with copper, polished stainless-steel indexes, and hands.

Waldor & Co.’s launch article and its current US product listing do not agree on the movement caliber. The discrepancy is unresolved in the company’s own published pages, so the designations below are attributed rather than reconciled.

The launch post names the 9093, while the US product listing specifies the 9039. A US FAQ search result also names the 9093, adding to the inconsistency. No independent source established which caliber designation is correct. For a purchase or technical comparison, confirm the specification with the seller for the particular watch being offered.

When the official listings were retrieved in 2026, the US page showed $599 and sold out; the UK page showed £499 and sold out, and the EU listing showed €599 and sold out. These are regional snapshots, not a guaranteed current price or stock status. Waldor & Co.’s US product page presents steel and leather strap choices, but the retrieved specification text describes the mesh steel band; it does not establish the leather variant’s exact fit or lug width.
