The US collection page lists 36.50 mm, 41.50 mm and 43.50 mm configurations, alongside separate Aquis Date Calibre 400 models. The exact features, availability and prices depend on the reference and market.
What changed in the updated Aquis Date?
Oris describes the redesign through specific refinements: tapered crown guards, a more tapered bracelet, a bespoke Aquis typeface, Alpha-style hands and shield-like hour markers. The brand also highlights a patented quick-adjust clasp that lets the wearer adjust the bracelet while the watch is on the wrist. These are Oris’s descriptions of the design, not independent findings about comfort or performance. Oris’s US Aquis collection shows the current assortment, though listings can change.
Fratello characterized the 2024 update as a subtle evolution of the case, bracelet and dial. Its launch-era coverage said the quick-adjust clasp and quick strap-change features were limited to Calibre 400 models at that time. Because availability is reference-specific and may have changed, check the specification for the exact watch rather than assuming every Aquis Date has these features. Fratello’s 2024 report also cautions that bracelets should not be assumed to fit between Calibre 400 and standard Aquis Date cases: case profiles and end-link fit differ.
What sizes and versions are listed?
Oris’s US collection page lists three case diameters across its Aquis Date range. Its assortment includes standard Aquis Date models, Upcycle editions, Diamonds models and separate Calibre 400 variants. Listings differ by configuration, and the assortment can vary by region or change over time.

| Configuration shown on Oris US page | Case sizes listed | What to note |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Aquis Date | 41.50 mm and 43.50 mm | Check the individual reference for dial, bracelet or strap, and clasp specifications. |
| Aquis Date Upcycle | 36.50 mm, 41.50 mm and 43.50 mm | Launch material describes a multicoloured recycled PET dial; confirm the material for the exact reference. |
| Aquis Date Diamonds | 36.50 mm | A distinct dial configuration listed on the US page. |
| Aquis Date Calibre 400 | 43.50 mm | Listed separately from standard Aquis Date models; the page also includes a Calibre 400 Upcycle model. |
These are the sizes and categories listed on Oris’s US collection page, not a guarantee of local availability. The page displayed US prices from USD 2,600 to USD 4,400 across its listed standard and Calibre 400 variants when accessed for this article; those are page-listed US prices, not a universal price or a guarantee of current pricing. Check the live listing for the specific reference and market.
How should you compare the standard Date and Calibre 400?
Start with the exact reference, not just the collection name. “Aquis Date” covers multiple sizes and configurations, while Oris presents Aquis Date Calibre 400 models separately. The supplied collection page establishes that both categories are offered, but the presence of a feature on one model should not be generalized to every model.

- Green Dial with Index Hour Markers
- Green Ceramic Bezel with Minutes Scale, Stainless Steel Case and Bracelet
- Oris Caliber 733, Self-winding Automatic Movement
- Scratch Resistant Sapphire Crystal with Anti-reflective Coating
- 300 Meters / 1000 Feet Water-Resistant
- Movement and clasp: Confirm the movement and whether the particular watch includes the quick-adjust clasp. Fratello’s report ties the clasp and quick strap change to Calibre 400 models at the 2024 launch; verify current model specifications.
- Bracelet or strap: Choose the supplied configuration deliberately. Do not assume a bracelet from a standard Date will fit a Calibre 400 case, or vice versa; verify compatibility by reference.
- Size and fit: Compare the 36.50 mm, 41.50 mm and 43.50 mm options on your wrist if possible. Diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears, and there is no universally best size.
- Dial and edition: The listed choices include standard dials, Upcycle, Taste of Summer and Diamonds listings. Oris launch material describes the Upcycle dial as multicoloured recycled PET; confirm that detail against the exact model.
What should you expect from its dive-watch specification?
Oris calls the Aquis Date a high-performance dive watch. In a 2024 first look, Watches of Switzerland reported that the then-new range retained 30 bar (300 metres) water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert. That is launch-era range context, not a verified specification for every current reference. Check the current Oris specification for the exact model before relying on a rating or bezel detail. Watches of Switzerland’s 2024 first look quotes Oris Co-CEO Rolf Studer: “Rebooting a best-seller, a watch that people already love, comes with risks,”

Which version makes sense for you?
- Choose by fit first: Narrow the choice to 36.50 mm, 41.50 mm or 43.50 mm based on wrist presence and comfort, rather than treating one diameter as the default.
- Decide whether Calibre 400 matters: Compare the specific movement and feature set, including clasp and strap-change details, instead of assuming those features apply throughout the range.
- Pick the configuration you will actually wear: Dial edition and bracelet or strap affect the watch’s appearance and practical setup. Confirm accessory fit by reference before planning a later swap.
- Verify the local listing: Oris’s US assortment and displayed prices are market-specific and time-sensitive. Consult the relevant regional page and the individual reference specification before buying.
