The cited Super Seville models use Bulova’s proprietary, 8-jewel quartz Precisionist movement. Bulova specifies a 262 kHz frequency and describes its accuracy as “seconds per year”; its product pages do not give a more precise tolerance for these models. The movement’s seconds hand sweeps smoothly rather than advancing in the more familiar one-second steps of many quartz watches.

Super Seville vs. Marine Star
Choose the Super Seville if the priority is its 1970s-inspired shape, integrated-bracelet appearance, and straightforward time-and-date format. The Marine Star 96B431 is the more relevant Bulova comparison for water-oriented sport use: Bulova specifies 200 m water resistance and lists a unidirectional bezel and screw-down crown.

Super Seville vs. Lunar Pilot
The Lunar Pilot 98K112 is the stronger fit if elapsed-time measurement matters: it has chronograph subdials, a 43.5 mm case, and 50 m water resistance. Its case is substantially larger than the 35 mm Sodalite and 37.5 mm 96B439 Super Seville examples. The Super Seville instead prioritizes the TV-shaped case, integrated-bracelet style, and simpler display.
Choosing between Super Seville references
Within the Super Seville line, compare the exact case width, dial, finish, bracelet, and listed dimensions rather than assuming every version wears alike. The 96B439 is a 37.5 mm example with a date and sapphire crystal; the 98A337 offers a 35 mm case and natural sodalite dial. Bulova also lists two-tone and other dial variants, including limited-edition models.

What models are in the Super Seville collection?
Bulova’s US collection page listed 19 products when accessed on October 12, 2026, including standard models, Magnesite, Jade, Sodalite, Hawk’s Eye, Year of the Horse, and Complecto versions. The count and availability can change.
