The Hermès H08 combines a softened cushion-shaped titanium case with a circular dial, sporty details and the brand’s H1837 automatic movement. The range now includes contrasting titanium interpretations: an orange-strap model listed by Hermès in Greece and two designs reported at US launch in 2025. Their measurements, materials and prices depend on the specific reference and market.
How the H08 balances a cushion case and circular dial
The H08’s defining feature is the contrast between its rounded dial and angular, softened-square case. Hermès describes the collection as “Between round and square,” with a cushion-shaped case and subtle edges that bring together different forms, materials and finishes. That is the brand’s design description, rather than an independent assessment.

In reference W049628WW00, the case is satin-brushed titanium. Its sunburst satin-brushed titanium bezel has mirror-polished chamfers, while the black-gold-treated circular minutes disk frames a black nickel-treated dial with a grained center. Applied numerals and hands are luminous, and an orange rubber strap gives this version a vivid, sporty accent. Hermès characterizes the H08’s lines as sports-inspired; the particular material and finish choices show how that idea is expressed on this reference.
What the titanium treatment means on the listed orange-strap version
Hermès’ Greece product page specifies titanium for both the case and bezel, but the two components do not have identical finishes: the case is satin-brushed, while the bezel is sunburst satin-brushed with mirror-polished chamfers. The dial uses treated metal components, and the strap is rubber—not titanium. This is a specific configuration, not a description of every H08.

The listing names sapphire crystal on both the front and case back, with anti-glare treatment. It specifies water resistance to 10 bar. That is the manufacturer’s stated rating; it does not by itself establish how the watch performs in any particular activity.
Why H08 listings say 42 mm when the case is 39 mm wide
For W049628WW00, Hermès labels the product “42 mm,” but its technical details separate the measurements: the case is 39 mm wide and 42 mm from lug to lug. The 42 mm figure is therefore the lug-to-lug height, not the case width. Hodinkee also reported 39 mm wide and 42 mm lug-to-lug for the titanium designs it covered in 2025, adding a thickness of 10.6 mm.

What powers the H08
Hermès specifies its H1837 self-winding mechanical movement in W049628WW00, with a 50-hour power reserve. The listed functions are hours, minutes, seconds and a date at 4:30. Hodinkee reports that Vaucher Manufacture makes the H1837 for Hermès and gives its frequency as 28,800 vibrations per hour; Hermès’ cited product listing confirms the calibre and reserve but does not state that frequency.

The official product page establishes the technical details of one Greek-market reference, while the 2025 Hodinkee report supplies launch details for two newer titanium designs. Together, they clarify the H08’s design and options, but they do not establish a direct independent sales statistic for the collection, an independently measured accuracy result, or an objective ranking against competing watches. Hermès said in its 2025 reporting that the H08 line’s success had continued since its 2021 launch; that is the company’s characterization, not a published comparative sales measure.
