Geneva Watch Days 2021 ran from August 30 to September 3, but Jaeger-LeCoultre was not an official participant. The brand held meetings at its headquarters in Geneva while the participating maisons presented elsewhere. Suggestions for JLC and other brands in a contemporary preview were hopes and predictions—not confirmed event releases.
How Geneva Watch Days 2021 was organized
The event’s second edition used a decentralized, “phygital” format rather than one central exhibition hall. Participating brands arranged presentations at their own Geneva hotels, manufactories, and boutiques, generally by appointment. A shared pavilion at Rotonde du Mont-Blanc gave the event a common public-facing venue.
Online presentations were also planned for people unable to travel because of public-health restrictions. In its June 17, 2021 announcement, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH said: “The show will also take place in online mode so as to enable people still subject to certain travel restrictions due to public health measures to discover the new models in real time via videoconferencing technology.”
Was Jaeger-LeCoultre an official exhibitor?
No. Jaeger-LeCoultre was in Geneva for meetings at its own headquarters, but it was not an official Geneva Watch Days participant. The proximity in time and place connected the stories; it did not make JLC part of the event’s exhibitor roster.

What the JLC predictions actually meant
Rob Nudds’s August 16, 2021 Fratello preview discussed what he hoped Jaeger-LeCoultre might do. These were personal preferences, not announcements or confirmation of 2021 launches.
Master Control
Nudds hoped for additional Master Control dial options, including black or salmon-colored versions. The preview did not establish that either had been announced for Geneva Watch Days.

Reverso
He also expressed a preference for a Reverso with a closed case back and wanted to see the stainless-steel Grande Reverso 8 Days, reference 240.8.14, return. That was a wish, not evidence that the model returned in 2021.

What the official retrospective reported
In its 2021 post-event account, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH reported 25 participating maisons, 350 retailers, and more than 300 journalists. The FH also said the shared pavilion was open to Geneva residents, who could attend daytime happenings and discover the participating brands’ creations. Those are retrospective event figures; they do not make JLC an official participant.
