Which watch does Cliff Booth wear?
The watch is identified as a Citizen 8110 bullhead chronograph. Watch ID gives the more specific reference as a vintage gold 8110A Bullhead; Nick Kenyon of Time and Tide Watches describes a gold 8110 chronograph worn on a bund strap. Those sources agree on the 8110 family, though their descriptions differ in specificity.
Watch ID’s film entry and Kenyon’s watch identification are specialist identifications, not confirmation from the film’s costume department or Citizen.
Why is the watch considered anachronistic?
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set in Los Angeles in 1969, according to Sony Pictures. Kenyon reports that the Citizen 8110 was not released until 1972. On those reported dates, the model postdates the story’s setting, making it an apparent period inaccuracy.

Is the leather cuff part of the watch?
No. The watch and the leather cuff are separate details. Red Monkey’s article about Cliff Booth’s watch look and its Cliff Booth Legend collection concern a screen-inspired cuff accessory; they do not change the watch identification.
What to check when looking for a Citizen 8110
Vintage listings are not necessarily the same watch used on screen, and no particular seller’s stock or authenticity is verified here. If you are considering one, assess the listing on its own terms:
