There is no announced Lewis Hamilton–Richard Mille watch called the RM 44. It is a speculative design proposed by Buffy Acacia in a Time+Tide Watches feature published on March 2, 2024: a watch imagined around Hamilton’s personality, with his bulldog Roscoe at its centre.
What is the imagined RM 44?
The RM 44 is a concept, not a released Richard Mille model or a watch confirmed to be in development. Acacia’s proposal asks what a Hamilton-inspired Richard Mille might look like; the design is the author’s interpretation, not a statement from Hamilton or the watchmaker. Roscoe takes centre stage
The most personal element is a sculpted depiction of Hamilton’s bulldog Roscoe, described in the feature as 18k white gold. Rather than relying only on colour or branding to signal the subject, the concept makes Hamilton’s dog the focal point of the design.
Red carbon fibre and purple accents
The imagined case uses red-tinted carbon fibre with purple accents. In the March 2024 feature, red is tied to Hamilton’s anticipated move to Ferrari for the 2025 season, while purple represents his personal flair. Those colour choices belong to the article’s dated design premise; they are not a current report on Hamilton’s team or watch affiliations.

What the RM 66 contributes—and what it does not
Acacia cites Richard Mille’s RM 66 as inspiration for the proposal. The feature describes the RM 66 as a flying-tourbillon design reference, but that does not establish that the hypothetical RM 44 would use a flying tourbillon or share any of the RM 66’s specifications. The RM 44’s imagined materials and styling should not be mistaken for a technical specification sheet.

It discusses Hamilton’s relationship with IWC retrospectively and uses the Ferrari move as a 2025 premise; neither point verifies his current watch sponsorship.
