What sizes does the Rolex Land-Dweller come in?
Rolex introduced the Land-Dweller in 2025 in two case diameters: 36 mm and 40 mm. Those are the official size options; Rolex does not publish a wrist-circumference chart that assigns a particular size to a particular wrist.

Why case diameter alone doesn’t settle the fit

Rolex describes the bracelet as “comfortable and supple on the wrist.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not a published independent wear test, so assess comfort for yourself with the bracelet properly fitted.
How to compare the 36 mm and 40 mm
- Try both on the same wrist. If possible, compare the same case material and dial style so the size is the main difference you are judging.
- Check how each watch sits. Look at how much of your wrist the watch covers and whether the case appears to overhang. Rolex does not publish lug-to-lug measurements for this comparison, so an on-wrist check is more useful than trying to infer fit from diameter alone.
- Notice the visual presence you prefer. Decide whether the 36 mm or 40 mm looks more balanced to you as you see the entire case-and-bracelet design on your wrist.
- Move your wrist normally. Check comfort and whether the watch stays where you expect during ordinary movement.
- Ask for a proper bracelet fit. An official Rolex jeweler can advise on technical aspects and help size the bracelet. Use the official Rolex retailer locator to find a retailer.
Should you choose the 36 mm or 40 mm?
Choose the one that sits comfortably and looks right to you after trying both. A stated wrist circumference cannot reliably settle the choice: the official sources provide the two diameters, but no numeric wrist-size rule. Online owner preferences are individual anecdotes, not a sizing formula.
