The 2025 vote offered four proposed colorways, but Seiko says only the blue model will be commercially available.
What did Seiko ask fans to choose?
For the 60th anniversary of its diver’s watch, Seiko invited fans to choose among four color concepts inspired by changing seascapes, from sunrise to sunset. Voting ran July 1–31, 2025, Japan Standard Time. Seiko framed the campaign as a way to begin a new Prospex era with fans.
| Concept | Palette and mood |
|---|---|
| Sunrise Orange | Pale orange at first light. Monochrome’s July 1, 2025 launch report described an orange dial, dark hands and dark-orange bezel. |
| Daytime Blue | The sea shining brilliant blue under the midday sun. Monochrome described a light-blue dial, silver hands and dark-blue bezel. |
| Late Afternoon Green | A soft green tinge in warm light. Monochrome described a sea-green dial, gold-colored hands and dark-green bezel. |
| Sunset Red | Deep red under the last light. Monochrome described a red dial, gold-colored hands and red bezel. |
The combinations were campaign concepts, not a promise that four watches would reach stores. Seiko’s campaign page described Daytime Blue as “the sea shining brilliant blue under the midday sun.”
Which Seiko 1965 Diver color won?
Daytime Blue received the most votes, according to Seiko’s official campaign result and its August 26, 2026 announcement. Seiko has not published the vote count, winning margin or participant breakdown, so there is no substantiated way to say how decisive the result was.

What are the HBC011’s specifications?
Seiko’s product information describes the HBC011 as a modern diver with a 40 mm case and 300 m diver’s water resistance. Its key listed specifications are:

The three-fold clasp has a secure lock, push-button release and solid and slide adjuster.
How the bracelet adjusts
Seiko’s UK page says the clasp offers up to 15 mm of adjustment in six 2.5 mm steps. Seiko describes this as useful for pressure changes while diving and for wrist-size changes during the day; that is the manufacturer’s feature description, not an independent comfort or dive test.

Why the dial has a wave pattern
The dial uses a pattern inspired by Seiko’s wave mark. Seiko says the mark has represented reliability and technical capability since it appeared on the case back of the brand’s 1975 titanium 600 m saturation-diving watch. That historical account is Seiko’s own brand history.
When is the HBC011 available, and what does it cost?
Seiko announced October 2026 availability through select Seiko retailers nationwide in the United States. Its August 26, 2026 U.S. announcement listed a recommended retail price of $1,400. That is a U.S. price published on that date, not a universal price; Seiko says specifications and price may change. Check local pricing and retailer stock for current availability.

How does it connect to Seiko’s original 1965 diver?
Seiko identifies the original 1965 diver as the watch enthusiasts call the 62MAS. In its 2026 release, Seiko says the original had 150 m water resistance and was used by Japanese researchers in Antarctica during the 1960s. Those historical details are Seiko’s account; the cited product materials do not provide independent archival corroboration.
The HBC011 carries the 1965 Heritage Diver name, but the information here establishes its specifications and design rather than a testing-based comparison with the original. Likewise, the proposed colors were visual concepts: the published sources do not establish comparative legibility, comfort or diving performance for the four palettes.
