Fratello’s “Watch On Your Wrist?” Round 7 featured four watch photographs, but its July 27, 2020 recap does not name the winner. It says voting had closed and points readers to @fratellowatches on Instagram for the announcement. The entries showed an F.P. Journe Invenit en Fecit, an Omega Seamaster 1200m PloProf, a Rolex Submariner 14060M, and a Halios Seaforth.

Who won Round 7?

The recap by Fratello author Balazs Ferenczi, published July 27, 2020, says the poll was over and that the winner would be announced on Instagram. It does not identify the winner, so the result cannot be confirmed from that article alone.

Which watches appeared in the four entries?

F.P. Journe Invenit en Fecit — @changingtimes001

The entrant described photographing the watch on a kitchen table before dinner and adjusting the room lighting. His daughter opened a window as he took the final shot; he credited her contribution with the line, “Turns out she knows lighting better than her pops.” This is the entrant’s account of making the photograph.

Omega Seamaster 1200m PloProf — @speedyfett

The entrant said he chose the watch for its rugged look and personal style, and recalled wearing it in Hawaii with an orange strap. He described it as “a unique watch that matches our beach lifestyle perfectly.” These are the owner’s impressions, not independent testing or confirmation of the watch’s specifications.

Rolex Submariner 14060M — @thehouseofwaxequations

The entry came from a lockdown photography project focused on lighting and composition. Its staged scene included a watch roll, Leica IIIf, passport, currency, cufflinks, and a registered letter. The entrant explained: “The goal: avoid the customary wrist shot, try something different, and experiment a little with lighting, something I’d never really done before.”

Halios Seaforth — @eternal_escapement

The entrant wanted a watch for camping and fishing, saying he was wary of taking vintage watches into rugged conditions. He also mentioned the watch’s Canadian design and blue sunburst dial. These details reflect the participant’s remarks, not independently verified specifications or performance.

How did the 2020 contest work?

Fratello’s recap said the site selected four Instagram watch images each week and invited readers to vote for a favorite in the article. Weekly winners advanced to a semi-final held every fifth week, followed by a year-end final. The article described five finalists for 2020 and ten from the following year, and invited photographers to tag watch photos with #fratellowatches. Those are the rules as described in this 2020 recap, not current contest instructions.
