“Windtona IV” is the press nickname for the Wind Vintage x True North Vintage Rally Timer IV “Dreamsicle”, a 2026 limited-edition racing chronograph. Its defining change is a pale orange dial paired with a light green tachymeter bezel and colorful subdials. It is a True North and Wind Vintage design inspired by vintage racing-watch cues—not a Rolex Daytona.
What is the Windtona?
Wind Vintage identifies the watch as the Vintage Rally Timer IV (VRT IV) “Dreamsicle.” Worn & Wound calls it the latest “Windtona.” Both names refer to the fourth collaboration between Wind Vintage, Eric Wind’s watch business, and True North Vintage. The nickname points to the design’s compact proportions, contrasting registers and racing chronograph layout associated with the Paul Newman Daytona reference; it does not mean the watch is a Rolex or made by Rolex.
The “Dreamsicle” name suits the pastel palette: a pale orange dial, light green tachymeter bezel and brightly colored subdials. Wind Vintage says the colorway reflects Eric Wind’s affection for pale orange and his daughters’ love of pastel colors. This update changes the look while retaining the series’ vintage-inspired rally-timer concept.
How much is the Dreamsicle, and is it available?
Wind Vintage listed the watch at US$490. The launch was scheduled for October 2, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET on True North’s website, with a limit of one watch per transaction. That launch information does not establish whether any pieces remain; check True North for current availability and purchase terms.

The stated production run is 1,986 pieces. Wind Vintage says that number honors Eric Wind’s 1986 birth year as he turns 40 in 2026. It is a production figure, not evidence that the watch has sold out or that it will gain resale value.
What movement does the Windtona use?
The Vintage Rally Timer IV uses the Seiko Instruments (SII) VK63 meca-quartz movement. In Wind Vintage’s description, quartz handles the main timekeeping functions while a mechanical module operates the chronograph. It is therefore not a fully mechanical chronograph: it combines quartz timekeeping with a mechanical chronograph mechanism.

The 37mm diameter and 44mm lug-to-lug provide compact sizing reference points, while the 13.8mm thickness is a separate factor for sleeve clearance and wrist feel. The 20mm lug width is useful if you are considering a strap; check its end shape and fit rather than assuming a particular strap will match the case.
What the collaboration says about the release
True North founder Shane Russeck described the fourth collaboration as a chance to reimagine the Vintage Rally Timer in a new colorway and connect the production run to Wind’s birth year. Eric Wind has called designing vintage-inspired watches with Russeck “a dream come true.”

Wind Vintage also attributes to Eric Wind a statement that he and Christine plan to donate a significant portion of their commission from the collaboration to support youth ministry work directed by Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodriguez, J.C.D., in Palm Beach County. That is Wind’s stated donation plan; it is not an independently verified donation figure.

The published specifications make this a candidate for someone seeking a compact, vintage-inspired chronograph with a distinctive pastel dial and bracelet. Before buying, weigh the meca-quartz architecture against your preference for a fully mechanical movement, consider the 13.8mm thickness as well as the smaller diameter, and confirm current availability with True North. The available specifications do not establish how it wears on a particular wrist or how it compares hands-on with rival watches.
