How the MT1 countdown bezel works
A countdown bezel is useful when the task is defined by a deadline or interval remaining—for example, timing a short workout interval or keeping track of a planned break. Turn the bezel so its red zero marker aligns with the minute hand at the start of the interval. As the minute hand advances toward the marker, the bezel indicates the minutes remaining. The reported 120-click unidirectional action lets the wearer set the marker in increments; it is not the elapsed-time layout most familiar from dive watches.
The bezel is a visual timing aid, not a substitute for a dedicated timer when precision or an alarm is required. The reviewed material describes no alarm function.

Fit, movement and strap considerations
Case size
The reported 41 mm width is only one part of fit. The 48.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement gives a better indication of how far the case may span across the wrist, while the 13 mm thickness affects how high it sits. These figures can help compare the MT1 with a watch already in your rotation, but wrist shape and strap curvature also affect comfort.
Quartz movement
The Ronda 715Li is a quartz movement, so the watch is battery-powered rather than an automatic that relies on wrist motion. Reviews report a 10-year battery-life claim, but that is a reported claim, not a guarantee for every watch: usage and battery condition can affect service timing. The Time Bum also characterized the movement as shock-resistant and antimagnetic; those descriptions are review-era claims.

Replacement straps
The reported 20 mm lug width gives a sensible starting point when searching for a replacement strap, including a NATO-style option. Check the width and attachment system of a specific strap before buying; the lug measurement alone does not establish compatibility with every product.
What did the Winfield Mission Timer One cost?
Published launch-era prices conflict. Worn & Wound and Watch Clicker reported $399, while The Time Bum and Novel Carry reported $450. Is the Winfield MT1 still available?
Current production, seller inventory, current pricing, and a current Amazon listing have not been established. The launch-era reviews confirm the model existed and describe its reported specifications, but do not show whether it can be bought new today. If you find a listing, verify that it is specifically the Mission Timer One, check the seller’s condition and return terms, and confirm the price and availability directly before purchase.
