Availability is confirmed in some markets, but the evidence does not establish a complete worldwide rollout or current stock in every country.
What the Glimmer Edition adds
The main distinction is its styling and how it can be worn, rather than a separate set of tracking features. Xiaomi lists the Glimmer Edition in Glimmer Gold. Cinco Días described it as a tenth-anniversary-styled variant that can be worn as a bracelet, pendant or bag accessory. Tom’s Guide reports a stainless-steel-and-glass-crystal strap paired with an aluminum-alloy frame; the standard Smart Band 10 uses a TPU strap with an aluminum-alloy frame.
Tom’s Guide characterizes the Glimmer’s look as more sophisticated for everyday wear and the standard TPU strap as the more comfortable workout option. That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a universal fit or comfort finding. For swimming or sweaty exercise, consider the specific strap: Xiaomi cautions that leather, braided, silk and certain leather straps are unsuitable for those activities.

Xiaomi notes that actual dimensions and weight may vary with configuration, manufacturing and measurement method. As a weight reference, Xiaomi lists the standard Smart Band 10 at 15.95 g without strap and the Ceramic Edition at 23.05 g without strap.
Water resistance: what 5ATM does and does not mean
Xiaomi says the 5ATM rating means the band can be worn in swimming pools, while swimming near shore and during other shallow-water activities. The rating is not permission for every water exposure: Xiaomi excludes hot showers, saunas and diving, and its Glimmer Edition FAQ also cautions against high-speed water sports. These are Xiaomi’s product-use guidelines, not an independent test result.

Compatibility and setup
Xiaomi’s Glimmer Edition FAQ says Smart Band 8 and Smart Band 9 straps are compatible. Check that a replacement strap is intended for one of those versions before buying; compatibility does not establish that every third-party listing will fit.
The band pairs through the Mi Fitness app, not Zepp Life. Xiaomi specifies Android 8.0 or later or iOS 12.0 or later, with Bluetooth 5.4.

Where it is available, and what it costs
“Goes global” should be read cautiously. Xiaomi has official product material in the UK and Indonesia, and dated reporting establishes availability in Spain and the UK; those sources do not give a comprehensive country list or prove current local stock everywhere.

Is the Glimmer Edition the right version?
Choose it if you want a tracker that can be styled as jewelry or an accessory rather than worn only as a conventional fitness band. Choose the standard version if you prefer its simpler TPU strap; Tom’s Guide considers that strap the more comfortable workout option. Both distinctions concern presentation and wear, while the Glimmer Edition’s listed tracking features include the same broad essentials expected of this product line.
