The 35% discount is not verified as a current offer. It was reported on December 8, 2025, but no live retailer price confirms that same deal now. The available price signals are older and do not establish a current checkout price: Mi Store Finland previously listed the band for €59.90 against €85.00 (about 30% off), while PB Tech New Zealand previously showed NZ$159 with code PLUMMET. Treat both as historical, region-specific listings—not active offers.
If you find a new listing, check its final price, seller, condition, regional model and warranty before buying. The Smart Band 9 Pro can be a good fitness tracker for the right price, particularly if you want built-in route tracking and a larger display, but it is not a full smartwatch.
What is known about the 35% offer?
The “save 35%” headline appeared in a Phandroid article published December 8, 2025, which described the discount as “as much as” 35% and appears to have promoted an Amazon listing. The article does not establish a current Amazon price or provide a verifiable, stable product listing. Phandroid’s original deal report is evidence of a past promotion, not proof that it remains available.
Older retailer listings offer useful context, but not a current deal to buy against:

These listings are in different markets and currencies, and neither establishes a U.S. offer. Do not convert them into a U.S. deal estimate: shipping, taxes, customs, warranty coverage and regional product differences may change the actual cost. If a retailer advertises a percentage off, calculate it from the displayed reference and sale prices: (reference price − sale price) ÷ reference price × 100. A percentage based on a suggested price, a limited color, or an expired coupon may not reflect a recent or available selling price.
What the Smart Band 9 Pro offers
Xiaomi describes the 9 Pro as a fitness tracker with smartwatch-style conveniences. Its global product page lists a 1.74-inch AMOLED screen, automatic brightness adjustment and peak brightness of 1,200 nits HBM. The display supports refresh rates up to 60Hz, although Xiaomi says the rate can vary by interface and usage scenario.

- Built-in route tracking: GNSS supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS, so the band can record outdoor routes without relying entirely on a phone. It is still a tracker, not necessarily a substitute for a dedicated sports watch.
- Fitness and wellness features: Xiaomi lists more than 150 sports modes, along with heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep and stress monitoring, breathing exercises and women’s-health features. These measurements are for wellness reference; Xiaomi says the band and Mi Fitness are not medical devices and should not be used to diagnose or treat a condition.
- Battery and charging: Xiaomi rates the 350mAh battery for up to 21 days in typical-use mode, up to 10 days with always-on display, and up to 8 days in heavy-load mode. These are manufacturer figures, not guaranteed everyday results. GPS workouts, frequent tracking, notifications, brightness, vibration and watch-face behavior can reduce runtime. Xiaomi lists magnetic charging and an approximate 75-minute charge time on its Singapore specifications page.
- Water resistance: The 5ATM rating is intended for specified shallow-water activities such as pool swimming, not every kind of water exposure. Xiaomi excludes hot showers, saunas, diving and direct impact from strong currents; water resistance can also decline with use.
- Phone compatibility: Xiaomi lists Android 8.0 or later and iOS 12.0 or later, with Mi Fitness as the companion app. Compatibility does not mean every feature works identically on every phone: Xiaomi’s global feature table identifies some functions as Xiaomi- or Redmi-phone-only, and camera support may depend on the model.
These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent test results. Regional versions may differ in NFC availability, strap material, firmware, language support and package contents.
Who is it worth buying for?
Consider the 9 Pro if you want a larger, high-contrast screen and built-in GNSS in a band-style device, and you are comfortable using Mi Fitness. It may suit casual runners and walkers who want to record routes without carrying a phone, pool swimmers who stay within the water-resistance restrictions, and buyers who prefer a tracker that does not require daily charging. Android and iPhone users can use it, subject to feature differences across phones.

Skip it—or choose a different device—if you need cellular connectivity, extensive third-party apps, dependable smartwatch payments, calls or rich notification replies. It is also a poor fit if you need advanced training analysis, medical-grade measurements, or Apple Watch-level integration with an iPhone. A full Apple Watch or Wear OS watch is a more appropriate category for those needs, though those devices generally cost more and need more frequent charging.
How it compares with other Xiaomi options
| Option | Consider it when… | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi Smart Band 9 | You want a smaller, likely cheaper tracker for steps, sleep, notifications and basic workouts. | It is the better fit if you do not need the 9 Pro’s larger display or built-in GNSS. |
| Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro | You find it substantially cheaper than the 9 Pro. | The 9 Pro is the newer model; Xiaomi describes improvements including its display experience, monitoring, linear motor and stated battery life. Compare the actual price gap rather than assuming the older model is a bargain. |
| Redmi Watch 5 Lite | You prefer a watch-shaped, conventional watch layout. | Choose based on form factor and the features you will use; current price and model-specific performance comparisons are not established here. |
| Full smartwatch | You want richer apps, calls, payments or deeper phone integration. | Apple Watch is the natural ecosystem option for iPhone users; Galaxy Watch or another Wear OS model may suit Android users. These are broader, typically more expensive devices rather than direct equivalents. |
Xiaomi’s cited comparison claims 33% more accurate positioning and 15% improved heart-rate accuracy relative to the Smart Band 8 Pro. Those figures are Xiaomi’s own comparisons, not independent or clinical validation. See the manufacturer’s product information.

Checklist before ordering
Because the original offer is not confirmed live, evaluate any listing on its own terms:
- Confirm the checkout price, the comparison price used to calculate the discount, and whether a coupon must be entered.
- Check the country, currency, color, exact model and whether the unit is new, refurbished, open-box or graded. A discounted listing for another condition is not equivalent to a new unit.
- Verify who sells and ships the product, what local warranty applies, and the return window. For an imported “Global Version,” confirm regional features and support rather than relying on the label alone.
- Include shipping, tax and any import charges in the total; check the charger, documentation and package contents for your market.
- Confirm the chosen color is in stock and the promotion has an end date or remaining stock condition, if stated. A product-page price or old search listing is not proof that a coupon still works at checkout.
- If you use an iPhone, check the feature table for restrictions and model-dependent support before purchasing.
- Check wrist fit against Xiaomi’s stated approximate 135–205mm range.
Verdict: buy only against a verified local price
The 35% claim belongs to a past promotion; it is not a verified current saving. The 9 Pro is worth considering when a reputable seller has a genuinely competitive price for a new unit with clear local warranty and returns. If a listing’s seller, condition, final cost or regional support is unclear, the discount alone is not a good reason to order. Choose a basic Smart Band 9 if you do not need built-in GNSS and the larger display, or a full smartwatch if apps, calls and deeper phone integration matter more than battery life and a lighter tracker format.
