The Zenith DEFY Revival A3648 is a 37 mm, 600 m-rated diver revival available in steel and titanium. Zenith announced the steel version in April 2024; its current UK listing also shows a distinct titanium reference, but the available sources do not establish when that variant launched. The two versions share their core specifications and differ in case material, color scheme, reference number and listed market price.

Is the Zenith DEFY Revival A3648 a new release?

Not in the case of the steel model: Zenith announced the steel DEFY Revival A3648 in April 2024 as a revival of a 1969 DEFY diver reference. Its press release gave a launch price of CHF 7,400 and specified a 37 mm steel case, 600 m water resistance, an Elite 670 movement and approximately 50 hours of power reserve. Zenith’s April 2024 announcement is the source for that launch timing and price.

Zenith currently lists a titanium A3648 Revival as well, but the reviewed product information does not establish its release date. It is therefore more precise to call the steel watch a 2024 release and identify the titanium version by its reference, rather than describing the entire A3648 family as newly launched. Zenith’s US DEFY diver collection page identifies the historical inspiration as a 1969 reference.

Steel vs. titanium: references, colors and listed prices

Check the full reference when shopping: the material and colorway are not interchangeable, and the prices below come from different national listings. Zenith’s UK and Italian pages were observed in 2026; Wempe’s US listing is a retailer listing, not a Zenith price page.

Wempe lists the steel reference at $8,300 excluding tax on its US retailer page; that is a retailer listing, not a directly comparable Zenith price. Wempe US listing. The £7,700, €8,400 and $8,300 figures cover different markets and, in the first case, a different material and reference. They should not be treated as a like-for-like price comparison or as universal prices.

Specifications shared by both versions

Zenith’s current product pages give both references the same headline dimensions and movement specifications. The figures below are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent test results.

  • Case diameter: 37 mm.
  • Water resistance: 60 ATM / 600 m, as stated by Zenith. The reviewed material does not establish a particular diving certification or independent test of this rating.
  • Movement: Elite 670 automatic.
  • Power reserve: approximately 50 hours.

Zenith’s UK titanium listing and Italian steel listing are the sources for the current variant-specific specifications.

Which DEFY Revival A3648 should you consider?

The confirmed differences are material and appearance: microblasted titanium with yellow accents versus stainless steel with orange accents. The available specifications do not establish that either version is technically superior. Choose by the case and bracelet material, preferred colorway and the price available in your own market; confirm the full reference and current local price with the seller.
