The Zodiac x Craft + Tailored Super Sea Wolf Ref. 691 is a 2024 limited-edition reissue of an early Zodiac design that predates the Sea Wolf name. What is the Zodiac x Craft + Tailored Ref. 691?
Released in September 2024, the Ref. 691 is a modern reinterpretation of an early Zodiac watch. Craft + Tailored describes the original as Zodiac’s first model, made in 1953 before the Sea Wolf name was applied; Hodinkee likewise calls it an unnamed predecessor to the Sea Wolf. The modern watch retains the original-inspired unsigned dial, countdown bezel and index layout, while adding contemporary construction and a manual-wind movement.
Zodiac calls it an exclusive collaboration and a reinterpretation of the original prototype. Craft + Tailored says the project went beyond changing the dial or bezel: it developed a new 36 mm vintage-inspired case and a matching tapered bracelet for the release.

There is a sizing discrepancy in Craft + Tailored’s materials: its story describes a 36 mm case, but the ZO0002 product-spec table lists “Millimeters 37.” Hodinkee’s launch specifications also give 36 mm. The available sources therefore support reporting 36 mm as the published launch specification while noting that the retailer’s product table differs.
What did the Ref. 691 cost at launch?
Craft + Tailored’s September 30, 2024 release story and Hodinkee’s launch coverage both report a price of $1,695 for either edition. That figure is the 2024 launch price; it should not be read as a current retail or resale price. The reviewed sources do not establish a current secondary-market price.

Is the Ref. 691 sold out now?
The reviewed Craft + Tailored page for the white ZO0002 currently displays “SOLD OUT” and provides a waitlist. Zodiac’s official Ref. 691 page confirms the model but does not state current inventory for the black ZO0001. The white-edition listing alone does not establish that every Ref. 691 is sold out.
