The Zenith Pilot Big Date Flyback 160th Anniversary Edition is a blue ceramic chronograph limited to 160 pieces. Reference 49.4002.3652/51.I009 pairs Zenith’s El Primero 3652 automatic movement with an instantaneous big date and flyback chronograph; its 42.5 mm case measures 14.25 mm thick and 52 mm from lug to lug. What is the 160th Anniversary Edition?
Zenith announced the watch on April 1, 2025, as one of three blue ceramic chronographs marking the brand’s 160th anniversary. It is the blue version of the Pilot Big Date Flyback, with a monochrome finish and aviation-inspired dial. Zenith says its Pilot collection was introduced in 2023, drawing on the brand’s historical “Pilot” and “Pilote” trademarks.
The edition is limited to 160 pieces. Zenith said the trilogy would be offered through its physical and online boutiques and authorized retailers worldwide. That launch announcement does not establish whether this particular reference is currently available from any seller. Zenith’s April 1, 2025 announcement describes the collection and its release.

How the big date and flyback work
Instantaneous big date
The large date display sits at 6 o’clock. Zenith says its patented compliant mechanism changes the date in 0.007 seconds. That is the manufacturer’s stated change time, rather than an independently measured performance figure.
Flyback chronograph
A flyback chronograph can be reset and started again with one push, rather than requiring separate stop, reset and restart actions. Zenith describes this as a single-push reset-and-restart function. The movement runs at 5 Hz, or 36,000 vibrations per hour, and has a stated 60-hour power reserve.

Case size, materials and wearability
The 42.5 mm diameter is only part of the fit picture: the case is also 14.25 mm thick, with a 52 mm lug-to-lug span. Those measurements are worth comparing with a watch that already fits well, particularly if a shorter lug-to-lug or lower profile is a priority. The case is blue microblasted ceramic, while the crown and rectangular chronograph pushers are titanium.
The horizontal-groove blue dial uses luminous applied Arabic numerals and hands. Zenith supplies both blue and white Cordura-effect rubber straps with a steel triple-folding clasp, and describes the strap system as interchangeable. The stated 10 ATM water resistance is the manufacturer’s specification.
