Zenith’s current Pilot collection is organized around two model families: Pilot Automatic and Pilot Big Date Flyback. On Zenith’s U.S. collection page, observed October 8, 2026, listed prices ranged from $8,400 to $15,100. The collection was revamped and relaunched in 2023, so “new” describes the collection’s contemporary design rather than a 2026 launch. The images accompanying this guide should be identified as official Zenith imagery, not independent live or hands-on photos.
What is in the current Zenith Pilot collection?
Zenith’s U.S. collection page groups the current watches under Pilot Automatic and Pilot Big Date Flyback. The brand says the collection was entirely redesigned from scratch, revisiting Pilot features from a contemporary perspective. Its press release describes the line as revamped and relaunched in 2023.
The January 16, 2024 announcement introduced Boutique Editions of both model families and the first ICONS: PILOT vintage capsule. These are distinct offerings: the vintage capsule is not a third current production model family.

Zenith’s U.S. collection page displayed the following prices when checked on October 8, 2026. They are page-listed prices, not a price guarantee; confirm the exact reference, configuration and current price with Zenith before purchase.

These are U.S.-dollar listings from Zenith’s U.S. site, not prices for other regions. The collection page’s listing prices do not by themselves establish that every configuration has the same materials, dial, movement details or included straps.
Pilot Automatic vs. Pilot Big Date Flyback
The following specifications describe the Boutique Editions in Zenith’s January 16, 2024 announcement. They should not be assumed to apply unchanged to every watch currently listed in either family.

What the Big Date and flyback functions do
Big date
The Big Date displays the date using two oversized wheels. Zenith says its patented compliant mechanism advances and stabilizes both wheels in less than 0.03 seconds. That is the manufacturer’s stated operation time for the date mechanism, not a general measure of the watch’s performance.
Flyback chronograph
A flyback lets the wearer reset and restart the chronograph with one push. That is useful when timing consecutive events: there is no need to stop the chronograph first and then separately reset and restart it.

Official images and what they show
The supplied images are official Zenith imagery. They can show the watches’ design and details, but they are not independently shot live pictures and do not document hands-on inspection or wear. For visual comparisons, check the exact reference and configuration: Boutique Edition descriptions and images should not be treated as proof that all variants share the same dial, materials or straps.
How the current models relate to Zenith’s aviation history
Zenith says the Pilot line draws on its aviation history while taking a contemporary design direction. The separate ICONS: PILOT capsule announced in 2024 brought together three vintage references: the Tipo CP-2 Cairelli, A3821 and 01.0230.415. Zenith says the A3821 launched in 1972 and describes the selected 01.0230.415 example as one of 50 made in 1975. The brand says the Tipo CP-2 Cairelli was produced for Italian army corps between 1968 and 1972 and delivered through Rome retailer A. Cairelli. Zenith describes the capsule watches as curated, restored and certified by its Heritage Department.

Those historical pieces provide context for the collection but are separate from the current Pilot Automatic and Pilot Big Date Flyback listings. Zenith also says it remains the first and only brand entitled to mark its dials with the term “Pilot”; this is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent legal determination.
