The collection-specific “first” is about the Chronomaster Sport—not a claim that Zenith or watchmaking has never made a skeleton chronograph. The launch also included a separate, 50-piece steel-and-rose-gold model with a mother-of-pearl dial.
What is new about the Chronomaster Sport Skeleton?
The smoked-gradient sapphire dial exposes the openworked El Primero 3600 SK movement. Grey, anthracite and blue counters preserve the Chronomaster Sport’s familiar tri-colour visual identity, while the open construction makes the movement part of the display. ZENITH introduced the Skeleton in four executions, all with a 41 mm case and the same movement.

ZENITH’s current US listing for the black-bezel steel reference, 03.3130.3600/01.M3130, displays a price of $16,700; the listing was checked on 4 October 2026. Prices and availability may differ by market or change over time.
How the El Primero 3600 SK chronograph works
According to ZENITH’s 14 April 2026 launch specifications, the movement runs at 36,000 vibrations per hour, or 5 Hz, and provides a 60-hour power reserve. The central chronograph hand makes one full rotation every 10 seconds, so it can indicate tenths of a second against the graduated ceramic bezel. The watch also has central hours and minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 60-second counter at 3 and a 60-minute counter at 6. ZENITH lists water resistance at 10 ATM.

The manufacturer specifies a column wheel, horizontal clutch, silicon escape wheel, stop-second mechanism and openworked rotor. These are published specifications, not independent test findings. For a general reference overview and the manufacturer’s launch details, see ZENITH’s Watches Pressroom.
What the new ZENCLASP adds
The steel Skeleton versions introduce ZENITH’s ZENCLASP folding clasp. Its on-wrist adjustment is tool-free and changes bracelet length in 2.5 mm increments, across a total range of 10 mm. ZENITH says the clasp has 41 components, including 10 ceramic balls, and was validated through more than 600,000 opening-and-closing cycles; those figures are the manufacturer’s claims, not independently verified test results.
ZENITH says the clasp is compatible with Chronomaster Sport bracelets that did not originally include it. Owners should confirm fitment and retrofit availability for their exact reference with a boutique or authorized retailer before relying on compatibility.
How it differs from the mother-of-pearl edition
The other Watches and Wonders 2026 Chronomaster Sport launch is a separate two-tone model, reference 51.3102.3600/01.M3100—not a Skeleton variant. Its 41 mm case combines steel and 18-carat rose gold, with a rose-gold bezel and bracelet center links around a mother-of-pearl dial. It uses the El Primero 3600 movement at 5 Hz, with a 60-hour reserve and 10 ATM water resistance. ZENITH limited it to 50 pieces.

The practical distinction is visual and material: the Skeleton puts the movement on display, while the two-tone model uses a conventional dial treatment and combines steel with rose gold. The latter’s 50-piece limit is stated by ZENITH; the Skeleton’s listed steel and rose-gold variants should not be assumed to have the same edition status or price.

ZENITH says the Skeleton is available through its boutiques, online and in-store, and authorized retailers worldwide. Stock and displayed prices can vary by location. The steel variants include an extra rubber strap alongside the bracelet; check the exact reference and strap interface before buying any separate replacement strap.

Best Value
- Zenith Chronomaster Revival El Primero Chronograph Automatic White Dial Men's Watch 03.A384.400/21.C815
- Choose the steel black- or green-bezel version if you want the openworked design with a steel bracelet and the listed European, Swiss or US pricing for the steel range.
- Choose a rose-gold Skeleton if precious-metal casework is the priority; the diamond-set bracelet model is the 10-piece execution, while the launch release does not state prices for either rose-gold version.
- Consider the mother-of-pearl reference if you prefer a conventional dial and two-tone case and bracelet, and want the explicitly limited 50-piece edition.
