The standard 1133B configuration had a flat midnight-blue dial, white registers and red details on the hands. TAG Heuer describes the vintage Monaco’s square case, metallic blue dial, domed glass and unusual left-positioned crown. Its vintage history gives general vintage Monaco dimensions of 39 mm across; that is not a specification for every Monaco made today.
There is an important distinction between identifying the model and identifying a particular surviving watch. In a 2024 account, TAG Heuer says six 1133B watches were sent for the production, while cautioning that it is difficult to determine which individual pieces appear in specific shots. The evidence supports the 1133B as McQueen’s film watch; it does not establish that any one specific surviving example is the watch in a particular frame.
