Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The TRASKA Seafarer Ref. 5223 is a vintage-inspired, dual-crown diver with an internal rotating bezel—not the external timing bezel found on many dive watches. TRASKA lists 150 m water resistance and a Miyota 9039 automatic movement, but those are manufacturer specifications, not independently tested results. This is a spec-based look rather than a hands-on review.
What makes the Seafarer different?
TRASKA calls the Seafarer a heritage design inspired by 1960s super-compressor dive watches. Its defining feature is the internal rotating bezel: a second crown at 2 o’clock turns the bezel beneath the crystal, rather than rotating an exposed bezel around the outside of the case. TRASKA describes the internal bezel and the second crown as the feature that distinguishes the model.

That arrangement gives the Seafarer a different operating layout from a conventional dive watch. To use the bezel for elapsed-time tracking, the wearer turns the second crown; the available product information does not establish how easy that is in practice or how the bezel feels during operation.
Ref. 5223: what TRASKA specifies

| Feature | TRASKA’s stated specification |
|---|---|
| Water resistance | 150 m |
| Case | 316L stainless steel with TRASKA’s hardening treatment |
| Movement | Miyota 9039 automatic, no date |
| Movement functions | Hand winding and hacking |
| Power reserve | 42 hours |
| Crystal | Sapphire with underside anti-reflective coating |
| Dial | Applied luminous elements |
| Regulation | Four-position movement regulation |
The no-date layout keeps the dial free of a calendar window, while hand winding and hacking are useful movement functions: hand winding lets the wearer wind the watch at the crown, and hacking stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled for setting. The stated 42-hour reserve is TRASKA’s figure; no independent reserve or timekeeping measurement is available here.
What changed across the three generations?
TRASKA’s reference guide identifies Ref. 5221 as Gen 1, Ref. 5222 as Gen 2 and Ref. 5223 as Gen 3. Its account of the revisions is useful when considering a pre-owned Seafarer, but a specific watch’s reference and equipment should be verified against its listing or with the seller. TRASKA’s generation guide describes the changes as follows:
- Gen 1, Ref. 5221: The first generation in TRASKA’s reference guide.
- Gen 2, Ref. 5222: TRASKA says it replaced printed indices with hand-applied luminous markers and changed the handset.
- Gen 3, Ref. 5223: TRASKA highlights a screw-down second crown, a wider bezel with larger hash marks, revised printed luminous markers, a quick-adjust clasp and refined end links.
These are the maker’s descriptions of its own generation changes. They do not establish how much easier the clasp is to adjust, how legible the markings are in use, or whether the refinements suit a particular wrist.

Is the TRASKA Seafarer worth considering?
The Seafarer’s strongest case is its combination of a less common internal-bezel layout and a clearly specified automatic movement in a heritage-style design. Ref. 5223 also brings the generation changes TRASKA highlights, including the screw-down second crown and quick-adjust clasp. Whether those features justify the asking price depends on your preference for the internal bezel and how the watch fits and performs for you—points that cannot be settled from specifications alone.
