A. Lange & Söhne introduced two Saxonia Thin watches with glossy black onyx dials on 4 October 2025: reference 211.052 in 750 HONEYGOLD® and reference 211.062 in 950 platinum. Each is limited to 200 pieces. Both share a 40 mm case, a slim 6.2 mm profile and the manually wound L093.1 movement; the main difference is the metal’s contrast with the black dial.
What the 2025 Saxonia Thin Onyx watches are
The October 2025 release applies a glossy onyx dial to the Saxonia Thin’s restrained two-hand layout. Hours and minutes are shown by two hands against applied baton markers, keeping the focus on the dial’s deep black surface and the case material around it. These are two special editions, not a description of every Saxonia Thin: the collection, introduced in 2011, has also appeared in other case diameters and configurations.
A. Lange & Söhne’s 4 October 2025 announcement identifies the editions and their limited quantities. The model references and current manufacturer specifications appear on the HONEYGOLD® model page and platinum model page.

The choice is primarily about the metal’s look and feel: HONEYGOLD® gives the black dial a warmer frame, while platinum creates a cooler contrast. Each is paired with a black alligator-leather strap and a matching buckle.

Shared movement and specifications
Both watches use the in-house, manually wound calibre L093.1. A. Lange & Söhne gives the movement a height of 2.9 mm and a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. The current model pages list 167 parts and a frequency of 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour (3 Hz). A sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the movement; the collection page says it is assembled twice.

The movement’s finely finished details are also part of the appeal. A. Lange & Söhne product-development director Antony de Haas describes the design as carefully harmonising mechanical relationships and visual proportions, including the three-quarter plate, stop-click spring and blued screws. The manufacturer’s collection page describes the L093.1 as an in-house, manually wound calibre.

Price and availability
A. Lange & Söhne lists both watches as “Price upon request” and directs prospective buyers to its boutiques. The manufacturer does not publish a numeric price on the cited model pages, and those pages do not establish live inventory. Contact a boutique for the current price and availability in your region.
