What is the pink-gold ZEITWERK DATE?
Reference 148.033 pairs an 18-carat pink-gold case with a grey dial that A. Lange & Söhne identifies as 925 silver. The display’s defining feature is its combination of jumping hour and minute numerals with a ring date around the dial’s edge. The manufacturer describes the pink-gold and grey-dial combination as the first pairing of those colors in the ZEITWERK family in its 25 July 2025 launch release.
The case measures 44.2 mm in diameter and 12.3 mm in height. The listed water resistance is 3 bar; that is a specification, not a recommendation for swimming or other water activities. The watch is fitted with a dark-brown alligator-leather strap and an 18-carat pink-gold prong buckle. The manufacturer’s current reference 148.033 product page lists the price as “Price upon request.” It does not establish a public price or retail availability.
How the jumping time and ring date work
Hours and minutes appear as large numerals in apertures on the dial’s central axis. Around them, a printed-glass ring is marked from 1 to 31. A colored segment beneath that ring advances one position at midnight, highlighting the current date in red. It is a peripheral date display, not a standard date window.

At midnight, the three jumping numeral discs and the date ring switch together, according to the manufacturer’s launch release. A corrector at 8 o’clock allows the date to be adjusted; the switching impulse is generated when the pusher is released.
A. Lange & Söhne says the constant-force escapement supplies an impulse to the jumping numeral discs every 60 seconds and helps maintain rate stability as the power reserve runs down. The manufacturer also describes a fly governor that absorbs surplus energy during the simultaneous midnight change. These are explanations of the design, not independent test findings.

Calibre L043.8 and power reserve
The watch is powered by the manually wound manufacture calibre L043.8. It has twin barrels with two mainsprings and a stated 72-hour power reserve. The movement runs at 18,000 semi-oscillations per hour, or 2.5 Hz, and contains 516 parts, according to the current product page. Its listed functions include a power-reserve indicator, constant-force escapement and ring-date display.
The manufacturer’s 25 July 2025 release counts 1,440 numeral-disc switches per day. That figure describes the mechanism’s daily switching count, not an accuracy or durability result. No independent accuracy, reliability or longevity comparison for reference 148.033 is established by the available product information.

Pink gold versus white gold
The ZEITWERK DATE family also includes white-gold reference 148.038. The manufacturer lists both variants with grey dials; the ring-date concept and published movement family are shared. The available official information does not establish a comparative price for the two references.
