The next major confirmed Swatch collaboration after MoonSwatch is Audemars Piguet × Swatch Royal Pop, announced on May 12, 2026. It is an eight-model pocket-watch collection—not another wristwatch—and Swatch Group announced a selected-store release for May 16, 2026.
What is the next Swatch collaboration after MoonSwatch?
Royal Pop is a collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Swatch. Swatch described it as drawing on Pop Art, Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak, and Swatch’s 1980s POP watches. The announcement introduced eight models. Swatch’s announcement and Swatch Group’s release describe the collection and its design.
Despite the Royal Oak reference, Royal Pop is not presented as a conventional Royal Oak wristwatch. Its defining format is a pocket watch that can also be worn from a lanyard or set on a small stand as a desk watch.
Is Royal Pop a wristwatch or a pocket watch?
It is a pocket watch designed to be carried or displayed in different ways. Swatch Group says the collection includes three calfskin lanyard lengths; the watch can also be carried in a pocket or attached to a bag. A removable stand lets it sit on a desk.

What are the Royal Pop models and specifications?
Swatch Group describes eight Swiss-made Bioceramic models powered by a new hand-wound version of Swatch’s SISTEM51 movement. The company states that it has more than 90 hours of power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring; those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

When did Royal Pop launch, and where can you buy it?
Swatch Group announced a May 16, 2026 release at selected Swatch stores, with purchases limited to one watch per person, per day, per selected store. That date and limit describe the launch, not current inventory. Availability varies by location; check with Swatch for present stock and price.
On May 18, 2026, the Associated Press reported queues in several cities, said Swatch stated there was no shortage, and described the retail price at the time as around $400. Those are launch-period observations, not a current price guide or a reason to buy for resale. Read the AP report.

Royal Pop is the later announced collaboration in this comparison. Swatch’s MoonSwatch collection page continues to list the OMEGA partnership; it does not say that Royal Pop replaces MoonSwatch or that MoonSwatch has ended.
