The Áigi Satellite Ground Station II is a Norwegian microbrand automatic watch built around satellite ground-station imagery. Its official specifications list a 39 mm case, a 46 mm lug-to-lug span and a Miyota 9039 movement; four dial variants split between radome patterns and dish-inspired concave designs. Áigi’s product page currently lists prices from $525, with the gold version at $540.
What is the Satellite Ground Station II?
Áigi presents the Satellite Ground Station II as a redesigned follow-up to its earlier Satellite Ground Station. The design theme is satellite ground infrastructure: the black and blue dials evoke radome patterns, while the white and gold versions use concave dials inspired by satellite dishes. Time+Tide’s review says the name and design refer to this infrastructure and reports that Kongsberg Satellite Services operates more than 300 antennas across 28 sites worldwide. That network figure is reported by the review, not independently verified here.
The aesthetic is more than a space-themed label: the two dial treatments give the four-color range distinct visual directions. Time+Tide staff writer Buffy Acacia wrote in the review’s verdict that “the Áigi Satellite Ground Station II doesn’t need a gimmick.” That is Acacia’s opinion, rather than a technical assessment.

| Strap fitting | Standard 20 mm; quick-release hardware | Áigi and Time+Tide |
The 39 mm diameter and 46 mm lug-to-lug span are useful starting points when judging how the watch may fit relative to a wrist or other watches. They are dimensions, not a guarantee of comfort; no hands-on wear assessment is available here. The quoted thickness is 10.2 mm for the case and 11 mm when the glass is included, so the crystal-inclusive figure is the more complete comparison with watches measured that way.
Time+Tide reports the 100 m water-resistance rating, 42-hour reserve and 4 Hz beat rate. Those figures describe the reviewed model; they are not a substitute for checking Áigi’s current documentation for care, operating limits or service guidance.

Can you use another strap?
Yes, the watch is listed with a standard 20 mm strap fitting and quick-release hardware. Áigi says it is compatible with most 20 mm straps, and Time+Tide also notes quick-release spring bars. That makes a compatible quick-release 20 mm watch strap a practical alternative to the supplied bracelet or strap.
- Check the strap listing specifies a 20 mm lug width.
- Confirm that its attachment works with the watch’s spring bars; quick-release is convenient, but compatibility should be confirmed for the specific strap.
- For a bracelet or other fitted option, verify that it is made for this watch rather than assuming every 20 mm attachment will fit correctly.
Áigi also highlights a chemically hardened stainless-steel case and bracelet, plus a clasp with tool-free micro-adjustment. These details are maker claims on the official product page; the page does not establish a separate independent durability test.

What does it cost, and what are the purchase terms?
Áigi’s official collection page lists black, blue and white at $525 and gold at $540. These are current page prices rather than guaranteed future prices. For context only, Time+Tide’s review, published 2 December 2024, gave a launch pre-order price of US$359 and a recommended retail price of US$479 excluding VAT; those are historical launch figures, not the current listed prices.
The black listing showed in-stock status, 30-day returns, a two-year warranty and worldwide DHL Express shipping in one to two business days with duties and VAT included. These are seller-stated terms shown on the listing and can change or vary by destination. Check the listing for the selected color and delivery country before ordering. Is the Satellite Ground Station II worth considering?
On paper, it combines compact listed dimensions with a named Japanese automatic movement, sapphire crystal and a design that offers two clearly different dial styles. Its standard 20 mm fitting adds flexibility if you want to change the look. The main questions for a buyer are whether the radome or concave dial appeals, whether the reported specifications and seller terms meet their needs, and whether the current price fits their budget. No hands-on assessment or independent durability test is available to support a claim about real-world comfort or long-term performance.
