The AkriviA AK-06 makes the work of winding and tracking its reserve part of the watch’s display. It is a manually wound, time-only model whose dial exposes selected components of the mechanism, including the power-reserve indication. AkriviA specifies a 100-hour reserve, a 41 mm case and a stop-balance function that resets the seconds to zero when setting the time.
What makes the AK-06 different?
Introduced in 2017, the AK-06 was AkriviA’s first model to move beyond the tourbillon watches with which the brand had launched. Its focus is time-telling rather than an added complication: the visual interest comes from showing parts of the winding and power-reserve mechanism on the dial side. AkriviA describes the design as focused “purely on time-telling without complication” while highlighting the 100-hour reserve (AkriviA).
Monochrome Watches’ 2017 hands-on account describes the exposed works and the dial-side reserve indicator as central to the watch’s visual character. That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a claim of direct inspection here; the practical point is that the mechanism is not hidden behind a conventional, closed dial. The visible display makes winding and remaining running time part of the experience of reading the watch.
How the 100-hour power reserve works
AkriviA specifies one jeweled barrel as the source of the AK-06’s 100-hour power reserve. The reserve indication is displayed on the dial side, so the wearer can see the mechanism associated with stored running time rather than relying on a separate subdial described as a conventional gauge. The official specification does not state a measurement tolerance or a real-world running-time test; 100 hours is the manufacturer’s stated figure.

The movement is manually wound. That makes winding a recurring interaction, and the reserve display gives the wearer a visible indication of where the watch stands in that cycle. The published specifications list 28 jewels and a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour.
What does the zero-reset seconds function do?
When the time is set, the AK-06’s stop-balance mechanism stops the balance and returns the seconds hand to zero, according to AkriviA’s specification. Monochrome’s 2017 account likewise describes the seconds hand stopping and resetting as the time is adjusted. This function can make synchronization to a reference time more straightforward: set the watch, then start the seconds from zero alongside the reference.

Movement architecture and finishing
AkriviA says its in-house AK-06 movement is developed, decorated and assembled by the brand. The manufacturer specifies a 10.5 mm variable-inertia balance with four adjustable weights and a Breguet overcoil. Its listed finishing includes black polish, Côtes de Genève, polished and brushed surfaces, rhodium treatment, beading, hand engraving and hand-made anglage. These are manufacturer descriptions of the movement’s construction and finish, not independent assessments of execution.
Case size, materials and strap depend on the configuration
AkriviA lists the case as 41 mm in diameter and 9.9 mm thick. Those dimensions offer a useful sense of scale, but they do not establish how the watch will fit a particular wrist; the available sources do not specify lug-to-lug length or lug width.

The launch-era Monochrome report described steel, titanium, 5N rose gold and platinum options. The current listing from Singapore retailer The Hour Glass is for a specific titanium model, reference AK-0601-TIT. Strap details also vary by source and configuration: Monochrome described alligator leather for the launch-era model, while The Hour Glass lists hand-sewn calf leather with color options for its titanium reference. Neither description should be generalized to every AK-06.

The Hour Glass Singapore listing retrieved in 2026 displayed SGD 145,000 for the titanium AK-0601-TIT.
