The collection revisits the original Formula 1 Series 1, introduced in 1986, and ranges from bright Arnite city editions to steel-bracelet models and black PVD-coated steel watches. Here is how to identify all ten—and what the published specifications and edition numbers do and do not tell you.
Why TAG Heuer and Kith revisited the Formula 1
TAG Heuer describes the collaboration as a revival of the Formula 1 Series 1, which debuted in 1986. The brand says it located the original supplier and the exact mould used for that first generation. Its account highlights the distinctive hour hand, triangle at 12 o’clock, alternating shield and dot indices, and contrasting minute track. Those are the brand’s descriptions of the design lineage, not independent verification of the production process. TAG Heuer’s collaboration overview also places Kith founder Ronnie Fieg’s personal connection to the project in context: TAG Heuer says the original red-and-black watch was his first watch.
TAG Heuer says more than three million original Formula 1 Series 1 watches were produced. That historical production figure indicates the line’s scale; it does not establish sales or demand for this limited 2024 collaboration. TAG Heuer introduced the ten models at an event at Miami’s Rubell Museum ahead of the Grand Prix. TAG Heuer’s launch article calls preserving the original’s essence paramount, a statement of the brand’s intent rather than an independent assessment.

The reference number is the clearest way to distinguish models that share similar colors or construction. The quantities and selling channels below describe the launch-era edition and distribution reported in 2024; they are not confirmation of current stock. What separates the three groups
Steel-bracelet models
Three versions pair a steel construction with a bracelet. The shared WA121F.BA0023 has an eggshell dial, black bezel and red accents. Kith’s Paris edition (WA121N.BA0023) keeps the eggshell dial but changes to a green bezel; Los Angeles (WA121P.BA0023) uses a white dial and blue bezel. The channel and edition size differ: the first was shared by TAG Heuer and Kith at 1,350 pieces, while the Paris and Los Angeles watches were Kith exclusives at 350 pieces each.
Black PVD-coated steel with rubber straps
WA121J.BT0012 and WA121L.BT0014 share a black dial and black PVD-coated steel case, with blue or green accents and a matching rubber strap. Both were reported as TAG Heuer exclusives, limited to 825 pieces apiece.

Arnite city editions
The five city-named references use Arnite cases and vivid color combinations. New York is black with a multicolor dial scale; Tokyo pairs red with a white dial; Toronto is yellow; Miami combines beige with pink; and Hawaii contrasts a blue dial with a green bezel. All five were reported as Kith exclusives of 250 pieces each. The material and strap descriptions vary by reference, so check the individual row rather than assuming every Arnite version has identical construction.
Shared specifications—and their limits
Published launch specifications describe the collection as a 35 mm quartz watch with a 40 mm lug-to-lug length and 9.45 mm thickness. Functions are hours, minutes, seconds and date. The listed materials across the collection are stainless steel, black PVD-coated steel and Arnite; the sources list a flat sapphire crystal and 200 m water resistance. These are published specifications, not results of independent testing. The listings do not establish that every colorway was separately tested under the same conditions.

The launch-era split was eight Kith exclusives, two TAG Heuer exclusives and one model shared by both channels. The arithmetic includes five city editions at 250 pieces each, Paris and Los Angeles at 350 each, two black PVD models at 825 each, and the shared Eggshell at 1,350. Specialist coverage also reported a 75-set presentation containing all ten watches; that is a separate set format, not evidence of present availability. TAG Heuer’s collection coverage and launch-era reporting document the collaboration, but current inventory and resale pricing are not established here.
For identification, match the complete reference, not just the city name or dominant color. This matters especially for the closely related eggshell-dial watches: WA121F.BA0023 has a black bezel and red accents and was shared; WA121N.BA0023 has a green bezel and was Kith-exclusive. A limited production number does not, by itself, establish present value or future appreciation.
