The Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic Titanium is the 39 × 40.5 mm titanium version of Alpina’s Alpiner Extreme Automatic, reference AL-525S3AE1B. Its compact cushion-shaped case, matching bracelet and 200 m water-resistance rating give it a sport-watch specification, while its lighter titanium construction is the key difference in everyday wear. Alpina listed it at US$2,795 in the US and £2,195 in the UK on 7 October 2026.
How the 39 mm titanium Alpiner Extreme wears
The case measures 39 mm across and 40.5 mm from end to end, with an 11.5 mm thickness. Those dimensions describe a cushion-shaped case rather than a conventional round watch, so the 40.5 mm length is useful context when considering how much wrist space it occupies.
Time and Watches’ hands-on review describes the case and integrated H-shaped bracelet as Grade 2 titanium. The reviewer noticed the reduced weight and found the smaller case comfortable and versatile on an average wrist; the photographed wrist measured 17.8 cm (7 inches). That is one wearer’s experience, not a fit guarantee. Titanium’s lighter feel may suit someone who finds a steel sports watch heavy, but wrist shape, bracelet adjustment and personal preference still matter.

A 200 m rating is a product specification, not a promise that every water activity or service condition is suitable; follow the manufacturer’s guidance and ensure the watch is properly maintained.

- Match the reference: Look for AL-525S3AE1B; Alpina identifies it as the Alpiner Extreme Automatic Titanium.
- Check the fit dimensions: Consider both the 39 mm width and 40.5 mm case length, as well as the 11.5 mm thickness and your preference for an integrated bracelet.
- Confirm material and terms: Verify that the listing is for the titanium reference and check the seller, applicable warranty and market-specific conditions.
- Recheck availability and price: Official product pages establish Alpina’s listed product and regional pricing at the time checked, but prices and stock can change.
Alpina’s UK page contains a short marketing paragraph that refers to a stainless-steel case, while its technical section lists titanium. For the material of this reference, the structured UK specifications and Alpina’s US listing identify titanium; the conflicting UK marketing wording should not be taken as evidence that this reference has a steel case.
