Angelus’s modern Chronodate is an automatic chronograph with a peripheral date display—not simply a vintage-style time-only revival. The collection combines an A-500 movement, a two-register dial and a 30-minute chronograph counter. The documented models share a 42.5 mm case diameter and 14.25 mm thickness, but differ in materials, dial treatment and release context. This overview compares the published specifications; it is not a firsthand wear test.
What the Angelus Chronodate is
Angelus describes Chronodate as its first collection dedicated to the brand’s chronograph calibre introduced in 1942. The Fondation Haute Horlogerie’s launch overview describes three limited editions of 25 pieces each. Angelus also says the collection pays tribute to its origins as a leading chronograph maker in the 1930s; that historical framing is the brand’s own statement.
The modern Chronodate’s bicompax layout places small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph register at 3 o’clock. A hand around the dial’s edge indicates the date. The A-500 is automatic, with column-wheel chronograph control and horizontal coupling, according to Angelus’s technical material.

What separates the titanium and red-gold versions
Titanium Moka: brown dial and a separately listed limited run
The Moka pairs a brown PVD-treated, sunray-brushed dial with a titanium-and-carbon-composite case. Its red-arrow peripheral date hand is called out in Angelus’s description, and the official page specifies a 25-piece edition. Its strap wording is not fully consistent across the page: the technical table lists titanium, while the prose mentions alligator. Verify the configuration for the particular watch being offered.
Titanium Magnetic Silver: a silver-grey dial and multiple band options
The Magnetic Silver retains the titanium-and-carbon-composite construction and the same stated case dimensions as the Moka, but uses a silver-grey sunray-brushed dial. Angelus’s page describes it with either a titanium bracelet or black rubber strap. The source does not establish an edition count or price for this reference.

Dimensions, water resistance and the limits of a “hands-on” assessment
The listed Moka and Magnetic Silver titanium watches measure 42.5 mm across and 14.25 mm thick, with 30 m water resistance. The Red Gold Black page lists the same diameter, thickness and water-resistance rating. These figures help frame a fit decision, but they do not establish how a particular wearer will find the watches on the wrist; no wearer test or first-person observations are available here.

Likewise, published specifications do not support claims about comfort, legibility in varied lighting, finishing quality, timekeeping accuracy or the feel of the chronograph controls. A buyer who needs those answers should inspect and try the specific watch rather than infer them from the product descriptions.

The initial 2022 line consisted of three 25-piece editions. The later Titanium Moka is also listed at 25 pieces, but it is a separate product release and should not be conflated with the original trio. An edition limit does not show whether any example is currently for sale.

Angelus’s published pages do not establish current prices or dealer inventory. Ask an authorized retailer for a dated quote and confirm the exact reference, edition documentation and included strap or bracelet before comparing offers. The collaboration model Angelus x Revolution Chronodate “Angels’ Share” is a distinct 25-piece release described by Revolution with a titanium case, salmon dial and grey rubber strap; its retailer listing is not evidence of present availability.
