The Jack Mason Strat-o-timer Titanium Diver GMT combines a lightweight titanium case and bracelet with two separate timing tools: a 60-minute dive bezel for elapsed time and a dial-based 24-hour scale for tracking a second time zone. Jack Mason lists Anthracite and Cobalt versions at $1,399 each. The main question is whether titanium and the dedicated dive bezel are worth the premium over the steel Strat-o-timer GMT.

How the dive bezel and GMT scale work together

The watch divides timing duties between the bezel and dial. The unidirectional bezel tracks elapsed minutes, while the dial’s 24-hour scale works with the GMT hand to indicate a second time zone. That split is the defining practical difference from the steel Strat-o-timer GMT, which uses a 24-hour GMT bezel, according to Fratello’s review and Jack Mason’s Strat-o-timer collection context. Jack Mason Strat-o-timer collection.

Its Miyota 9075 is a traveler, or flyer-style, GMT: Fratello reports that the local hour hand adjusts independently, allowing the displayed local time to be changed in hour increments without resetting the minute hand. This is distinct from a caller-style GMT, where the independently adjusted hand is generally the 24-hour hand used to track another time zone. Jack Mason also describes local jump-hour functionality for the Strat-o-timer platform. Official overview.

What changes from the steel Strat-o-timer GMT

The key change is functional, not just material. The steel model’s 24-hour GMT bezel gives way to a 60-minute dive bezel, and the GMT scale moves onto the dial. That lets the titanium version time elapsed minutes directly at the bezel while retaining a second-time-zone display.

Fratello’s November 2025 review also notes a smaller circular date window at 6 o’clock on the titanium model, along with luminous applied markers and hands. Those are details reported in that review, rather than a separate current specification sheet.

At the review’s November 2025 publication, Fratello reported that the titanium watch cost $1,399, or $200 more than the regular stainless-steel GMT. The official collection currently supports the titanium price, but the cited $200 comparison is dated and should not be treated as a verified current steel-model price gap.

What the hands-on review says about wear and handling

Fratello reviewer Jorg Weppelink wrote on November 10, 2025, that the titanium case and bracelet felt light and enjoyable on his sample. He found the screw links easy to size and the clasp’s toolless adjustment useful. Those are one reviewer’s impressions, not a guarantee that the watch will feel right on every wrist.

Weppelink reported some play in the 120-click bezel, though it aligned with the hour markers. He also described a somewhat scratchy feel when screwing or unscrewing the crown, while finding crown rotation easy. These observations concern the sample he handled; they are not claims of replicated testing.

Is the titanium Diver GMT worth $1,399?

The value case is strongest for someone who specifically wants all three of its distinguishing features: a titanium bracelet watch, a traveler GMT movement and a dedicated elapsed-time bezel. Titanium’s lower-wearing-weight appeal is supported here by one reviewer’s impression, not a measured weight comparison. The 40mm diameter and 47mm lug-to-lug provide useful sizing reference points, but wrist shape and preferred fit still matter.

If the GMT bezel on the steel model better suits your travel-time-zone habits, or if titanium and the dive bezel are not priorities, the premium is harder to justify on the evidence available. The official page establishes the titanium versions’ listed price; it does not establish a current steel-model price for a like-for-like comparison. Check both listings at purchase time.

The available source set contains product specifications and a reviewer’s observations, but no qualifying named statistic or attributable verbatim quotation. It does not establish independent performance tests for water resistance, accuracy, durability or comparative weight.
