Apple announced the Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop on January 26, 2026, as its new Black Unity Apple Watch band for Black History Month. Apple announced a U.S. launch price of $99; that is the price at launch, not confirmation of today’s price or availability.
What the Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is
The Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop is a special-edition Apple Watch band, not a new watch. Apple says the band celebrates the power of connection and uses shades of red, green and black inspired by the Pan-African flag. Apple says it was designed by Black creatives and allies at the company. Apple Newsroom
Materials and construction
Apple says recycled polyester yarn filaments are woven around ultrathin silicone threads using precision-braiding machinery. The company describes the resulting band as soft and textured, and resistant to sweat and water. Those are Apple’s product descriptions; the announcement does not give quantified durability or water-depth ratings.
Price and launch availability
Apple announced a U.S. price of $99 on January 26, 2026. At launch, Apple said online and Apple Store app orders were available immediately, with retail-store availability expected later that week. The announcement does not establish current price, inventory or availability.

Compatibility and sizing
Apple lists the band in 42mm and 46mm case sizes, with band sizes from 0 through 12. The case size and band size are separate choices: match the case-size version to your watch, then choose the band size that fits your wrist.

How to get the fit right
Apple Support advises that Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop bands should sit snugly but comfortably. A snug fit helps keep the watch in contact with the skin for sensor readings. To put the band on or remove it, stretch it from the bottom. Apple also notes that Solo Loop bands may increase in length over time.
