The Aquadive GMT diver is listed on the brand’s current product page as the Bathysphere 100 GMT, while its owner’s manual calls it the Bathyscaphe 100 GMT. The title’s Bathyscaphe name therefore refers to the same watch family; use the color and reference details on a specific listing to confirm the exact variant. Aquadive describes a 100-bar automatic GMT with a ceramic timing bezel, but its product page gives conflicting case dimensions and does not establish a current price or availability.

What the name and dimensions mean
The naming differs between Aquadive’s current product listing and the official manual, so buyers may encounter either “Bathysphere” or “Bathyscaphe” when searching. The brand’s listing identifies color variants; check the individual listing or reference before treating a specification or price as specific to a particular color.
Case size deserves extra care. Aquadive’s page presents 42 mm diameter, 49 mm lug-to-lug and 12 mm thickness in its specification section, but its descriptive copy gives 43 × 49 × 15 mm. Those figures cannot both describe the same dimensions consistently. A 2019 Monochrome review reports 43 mm diameter and 15 mm height, aligning with the descriptive copy rather than the specification block; that is a historical independent report, not a resolution from Aquadive. (Monochrome review, 2019)
The difference between 12 mm and 15 mm is meaningful when judging how the watch will sit under a cuff or balance on the wrist. If thickness or diameter is decisive, ask Aquadive to confirm the dimensions of the exact watch being offered rather than relying on a single value copied between listings.

Movement, GMT hand and date
The ETA 2893-2 is an automatic movement with a date and an additional time-zone display. Aquadive specifies a 42-hour reserve, 4 Hz frequency and 21 jewels, and says its movement is adjusted in five positions. Its owner’s manual says the watch should have an average power reserve of 42 hours. (Aquadive owner’s manual)
The extra hand lets the wearer track a second time zone alongside local time. The manual includes instructions for setting the GMT hand and date; follow those steps for the particular crown positions rather than assuming all GMT watches set the second zone the same way.

There is an important date-setting restriction: Aquadive warns not to manually change the date when the hour hand is between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM. The manual says the date mechanism is engaged during that interval, and adjustment may damage the self-winding movement. Set the hands outside that window before using the date adjustment. (Aquadive owner’s manual)
Water resistance and dive-use details
Aquadive rates the watch at 100 bar, approximately 1,000 metres or 3,333 feet. That is the manufacturer’s stated pressure rating; it should not be read as advice to dive to that depth or as a guarantee of suitability at any particular depth. Water resistance depends on the watch’s condition and proper sealing.

The manual specifically says to screw the crown down before submersion. Ensure it is fully secured and do not operate the crown underwater. The 120-click unidirectional bezel is intended to time elapsed intervals, while the luminous material supports reading the dial in low light. The product page also specifies a helium release valve; its presence is a feature of the case, not a substitute for following the watch’s operating and servicing guidance.

For context only, Monochrome’s 2019 review reported prices of USD 1,890 for yellow and turquoise versions and USD 1,990 for orange and white versions. Those are historical prices from 2019, not current offers. (Monochrome review, 2019)

The main buying caveat is not the movement specification but confirming the exact case measurements and the commercial terms for the specific variant. The discrepancy between the two published dimensions could affect fit, and the available official page does not settle current price, stock or warranty. Its stated limit of 500 pieces per color indicates limited production, but does not establish present availability.
