Often, yes—if you value the watch’s materials, movement, specifications and guarantee more than resale performance or brand recognition. TUDOR’s value is not uniform across the range: it depends on the particular reference, how it fits and suits your use, the local price and seller, and which features matter to you. Compare the exact model, not just the brand
TUDOR’s Pelagos range shows why a brand-wide verdict can mislead. The models differ in size, material, water resistance, certification and price. A more demanding dive specification is not automatically better for everyday wear if the larger case does not fit or you will not use the added capability.

A concrete Pelagos reference
When accessed in 2026, TUDOR’s US page listed Pelagos reference M25600TB-0001 at $6,025 suggested retail. The page specifies a 42 mm titanium-and-steel case, 500 m water resistance, COSC-certified Manufacture Calibre MT5612, approximately 70 hours of power reserve, a titanium bracelet and a complimentary rubber strap. Fit and intended use can matter more than the headline specification
The 39 mm Pelagos and 43 mm Pelagos Ultra serve different fit and use preferences. Case diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears, so try the exact model on your wrist where possible. Pay attention to thickness, weight, how the bracelet sits, and whether the clasp and any included strap work for you.
Match the technical details to your actual use. Water resistance and certification can be meaningful criteria for a buyer seeking those capabilities; they do not make a watch a better everyday choice for someone who mainly wants comfortable proportions, a particular look or straightforward timekeeping.

How to assess the guarantee and seller
TUDOR’s official material describes a five-year transferable guarantee. Its 2022 Black Bay 31/36/39/41 S&G press material says: “This guarantee does not require the watch to be registered or submitted to periodic checks and is transferable.” TUDOR’s cited Pelagos reference page also describes a five-year transferable guarantee. Confirm the current terms and documentation for the exact watch and seller; a guarantee is not a substitute for checking what the purchase channel provides. If comparing with Rolex, compare like-for-like watches and the conditions attached to each guarantee. Rolex states that qualifying new watches purchased from official retailers receive a five-year international guarantee, subject to conditions that include an appropriately completed guarantee card.
