The Arnold & Son Constant Force Tourbillon 11 is a hand-wound, limited-edition watch built around a dial-side constant-force mechanism and a one-minute tourbillon visible through the case back. Its A&S5219 movement pairs two barrels with a dead-beat seconds display and a stated 100-hour power reserve. The collection comprises yellow-gold and platinum editions, each limited to 11 pieces.
How the Constant Force Tourbillon 11 works
The manually wound A&S5219 calibre uses two barrels mounted in series. Arnold & Son states that the second barrel begins supplying the mechanism when the first barrel’s torque falls below its optimum output. The stated power reserve is 100 hours.
Between the going train and the tourbillon, a patented constant-force mechanism is intended to smooth the energy delivered by the barrels and limit torque variation at the regulating group. Arnold & Son describes it this way: “This constant force mechanism is held in place by an 18-carat yellow gold bridge and rotates over the course of one minute.” The mechanism’s rotation over one minute is distinct from the seconds display: the blue anchor tip makes a separate jump once per second, producing true-beat, or dead-beat, seconds.
The anchor tip also serves as a structural bridge for the mechanism. The tourbillon itself is on the reverse of the watch, visible through the sapphire case back; the constant-force assembly is displayed on the dial side. Arnold & Son says the calibre architecture draws inspiration from a tourbillon regulator created by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1808, based on a chronometer movement designed by John Arnold. The brand says the historic instrument is now at the British Museum and was given to John Roger Arnold in recognition of the collaboration and friendship. This is the manufacturer’s stated historical inspiration.

The yellow-gold model has sapphire crystals on both sides and water resistance of 3 bar (30 m/100 ft). The cited case dimensions are shared by both editions in the available product records.
