Published specifications for the Hao Red and Hao Green editions include a Peacock SL3006 movement, 50m water resistance and an 11.7mm case height. The key buying caveat today: Atelier Wen says the Porcelain Odyssey collection is sold out and permanently retired, so a new example should not be assumed available from the brand.
What is the Atelier Wen Porcelain Odyssey Hao?
The Hao is part of Atelier Wen’s Porcelain Odyssey collection, a line built around porcelain dials and Chinese design references. Monochrome’s November 3, 2020 report presented the Hao Red and Hao Green as colored additions to the white-dial Hao family, alongside the deep-blue porcelain Ji model. The details below are published specifications and reporting, not results of an independent physical test.
Atelier Wen’s 2020 design journal says the early design work involved Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology professor Song and designers Li Mingliang and Liu Yuguan, and went through more than 100 iterations. That is the company’s account of the design process.

Dial, variants and design details
White Hao and colored editions
The Hao is identified with a white porcelain dial. Monochrome’s 2020 account describes the Red and Green limited editions as using colored printing—ruby red or emerald green—with matching straps. For those two colored editions specifically, the article says the dial process used a copper base treated with zirconium oxide porcelain and fired at 1400°C. That account does not establish that every Hao reference used an identical dial process.

Subdial and caseback
For the Red and Green editions, Monochrome describes Chinese “You” and “Mao” characters on the subdial, marking two-hour spans associated in the article with sunset and sunrise, alongside Arabic numerals and a minute track. The caseback bears a Kunpeng motif; Monochrome identifies it as a reference to a legendary creature.
Straps on Red and Green
Monochrome reported the Green with a 20mm green nubuck strap and yellow lining, and the Red with a top-grain red calf-leather strap. Both were described with quick-release levers and a steel pin buckle. Those strap details are specific to the two reported colored editions.

- Way to use and set time: press the watch top's crown, front plate will open, then pull the crown away from the base of the watch and turn the crown clockwise until reaching the exact time.
Can you swim with the Hao?
No: Atelier Wen specifically strongly discourages swimming with the Porcelain Odyssey, despite its 50m/5ATM rating. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance rather than treating the depth figure as permission to swim.
Is the Porcelain Odyssey Hao still available?
Atelier Wen’s official FAQ says: “The Porcelain Odyssey line is unfortunately sold out and permanently retired as a collection.” The brand also says it intends to honor its limited-edition commitment. That means buyers should look to pre-owned or collector-market listings rather than expect the collection to be offered new by Atelier Wen.

Monochrome reported a launch price of USD 790 for each of the Hao Red and Hao Green editions, which were limited to 25 pieces each. That is historical launch information from 2020, not a current resale valuation or a price established for every Hao reference. Current listings, transaction prices, condition, authenticity and completeness have not been established here.
Care and ownership
Atelier Wen recommends occasional cleaning with a microfiber cloth and fine brush, storage in a cool, dry place in a protective box, and avoiding heavy shocks, extreme temperatures and strong magnetic objects. The brand recommends periodic servicing every five years. It also says its watches use quick-release systems for strap or bracelet changes.

Verdict
The Hao’s appeal rests on the porcelain-dial design, compact 39mm steel case and a clearly specified automatic movement. The available published specifications are useful for evaluating a particular example, but the Red and Green reports should not be generalized to every Hao variant. Since the collection is retired, any purchase decision depends on the individual pre-owned watch: verify the exact reference, condition, authenticity, service history, included strap and accessories, and seller’s current asking price.
