Its originality comes with substantial dimensions, modest water resistance and a 38-hour stated power reserve. ATOWAK listed the Stardust Gray at $1,949 when its product page was checked; conflicting stock labels make availability uncertain.
How do you read the ATOWAK Spaceship watch?
Instead of conventional hands, the Spaceship uses three hour discs that rotate around a satellite-style wheel. Read the hour from the disc nearest the minute wheel; read the minutes against the stationary index at the bottom of the case. ATOWAK says the indicators rotate 90 degrees between four numbers as they advance through the hours. ATOWAK’s product page describes the mechanism, and independent reviewer Matthew Catellier likewise explains the hour-and-minute reading in his October 27, 2023 review.
This is less immediately familiar than reading two hands. Catellier reported that legibility was good once he had become accustomed to the design. That is his subjective assessment, not a measured readability test, and new owners should expect a short learning curve.
What movement does the ATOWAK Spaceship use?
ATOWAK says the watch uses a self-developed module based on the Japanese MIYOTA 9039, with a stated 38-hour power reserve. The 38-hour figure is the manufacturer’s specification for the Spaceship; the available sources do not establish an independently measured reserve for an assembled example.
Catellier criticized the reserve as limited in his 2023 review and discussed accuracy figures for the base MIYOTA caliber. Those figures are not verified performance results for the modified Spaceship, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of this watch’s accuracy.
How big is the ATOWAK Spaceship?
ATOWAK lists the Stardust Gray case at 53 × 42.5 mm and 16 mm thick. Those are large, thick dimensions, and the irregular spacecraft-shaped case is visually prominent; buyers who prefer compact watches or discreet cuffs should consider fit carefully. The product page gives these weights: 99 g without straps, 148 g with the FKM rubber strap and 204 g with the steel bracelet.
The package includes both an FKM rubber strap and a 316L stainless-steel bracelet with quick-release buckle. ATOWAK lists inner circumferences of 150–205 mm for the rubber strap and 170–220 mm for the bracelet. These ranges can help screen for fit, but do not substitute for trying on the unusually shaped case.
Is the ATOWAK Spaceship worth the price?
That depends on what you want from a watch. The Spaceship makes the most sense for someone drawn to its unusual case and wandering-hour complication, and willing to trade familiar, glanceable timekeeping and a compact profile for visual novelty. If conventional legibility, smaller dimensions, or a longer stated reserve matter more, its distinctive appearance may not justify the cost.
ATOWAK’s product page listed the Stardust Gray at $1,949 when checked. Catellier’s October 2023 review reported standard colorways at $1,899 and Diamond variants at about $2,499, along with a temporary discount; those are historical prices, not current offers. He judged the watch’s value critically at the time, but that dated opinion is not a universal verdict.
What are the Spaceship’s water resistance and materials?
The Stardust Gray listing specifies a 316L stainless-steel case with gun-gray PVD coating, an irregular curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and 3 ATM / 30 m water resistance. That rating is modest; do not treat it as a swimming or diving rating. The product page’s material and water-resistance specifications are manufacturer claims, not independent durability findings.

Is the ATOWAK Spaceship limited edition?
ATOWAK describes the standard Spaceship as limited to 300 individually numbered pieces. The brand lists several standard colorways, including Stardust Gray, Abyssal Blue, Azure Silver, Mars Red and Nebula Silver. Catellier’s 2023 review says Diamond models were limited to 99 each, but that smaller edition figure is supported here only by his dated review; it does not establish that Diamond versions remain available.
Availability is not clear from the official listing: its page showed both “Sold Out” and “In stock” indicators and also offered an email notification. Check the current product page directly before making a purchase decision; the conflicting labels do not establish whether a piece can be ordered now.
