The 2024 Spinnaker Fleuss 40 Automatic seconde/seconde/ collaboration pairs a Halloween ghost motif with familiar dive-watch hardware. It came in two designs: Phantom Classic, with 50 luminous ghosts on the dial, and Phantom No Apparitions, which shifts the ghosts to the bezel. Fratello’s Thomas Van Straaten says he tried the Phantom Classic; the specifications below are those reported in his October 25, 2024 article, not independent test results.
What are the two “50 Phantoms” designs?
Spinnaker and artist seconde/seconde/ (Romaric André) gave the Fleuss 40 a playful treatment for Halloween 2024. The variants share the collaboration’s ghost theme but place it differently, so the choice is mainly about which design you prefer.

Both versions include a “Boo!” engraving on the buckle. The date graphic is another visual joke: it appears under UV light, but it is painted and does not function as a date display. The dial’s “2m / 6ft” text is a grave-depth gag, not the watch’s water-resistance rating.

The 40 mm case is smaller than the 43 mm Fleuss version it succeeded, according to Fratello’s launch coverage. For fit, the 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement is also useful: diameter alone does not describe how far the watch spans across the wrist. The reported 11 mm thickness excludes the crystal’s protrusion.
What does the hands-on coverage establish?
Thomas Van Straaten of Fratello says he tried the Phantom Classic. That is the extent of the first-person hands-on claim in the cited coverage; it should not be read as an assessment of both variants or as an independent verification of every specification. Launch price and current availability
Fratello listed the release price at US$445. That is the reported 2024 launch price, not a current retail price or a statement that the watch remains in stock. The cited launch article discusses batch mechanics for other Halloween variants; it does not establish production quantities for Phantom Classic or Phantom No Apparitions.

Which version should you choose?
- Choose Phantom Classic if you want the ghost illustration to dominate the dial and prefer orange hour-marker lume.
- Choose Phantom No Apparitions if you prefer a less crowded dial treatment, with the ghosts moved to the bezel and the crossed-out ghost at 6 o’clock; its hour-marker lume is yellow.
- Check strap fit before changing straps. The included straps are reported as 20 mm wide, but width alone does not establish attachment compatibility for every replacement strap.
