It is a 41 mm Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in blue ceramic, identified by Audemars Piguet as reference 26579CS.OO.1225CS.01. The manufacturer describes the watch as “entirely dressed in blue” and says its case and bracelet are fully crafted in blue ceramic. The dial, counters and inner bezel continue the blue palette.
The blue version followed black and white ceramic Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar models in the 26579CE family. AP’s stated distinction is specific: this was the first Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar with both case and bracelet fully made in blue ceramic. That does not make it the first ceramic Royal Oak or the first blue Royal Oak generally. Audemars Piguet’s product page identifies the reference and its design; the brand’s 2022 release history provides the context for the earlier ceramic versions.

AP lists the movement at 29 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm thick, with 374 parts, 38 jewels, a frequency of 2.75 Hz (19,800 vibrations per hour) and a 40-hour power reserve. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s specifications rather than independently measured performance.
The calendar displays the week, day, date, month, leap year and astronomical moon, alongside hours and minutes. Monochrome describes the calibre as based on Calibre 2120, but that lineage wording is the publication’s characterization rather than necessary to identify the movement. Its article lists a 4.3 mm height, whereas AP lists 4.5 mm; the table below uses AP’s official figure.

What does the 26579CS cost?
Monochrome Watches reported a price of CHF 129,000 excluding taxes in 2022, around the model’s release-era coverage. This is a historical reported price, not a current retail quote or a resale valuation. Current authorized-dealer availability, a present-day asking price and a defensible secondary-market value are not established here. Monochrome’s 2022 article is the source for that figure.
