The Autodromo Group B is a motorsport-inspired watch collection built around the look of 1980s rally instrumentation. Its design points to the Group B rally era that Autodromo dates to 1982–1986, and independent reviews identify the Lancia 037 tachometer as the dial’s specific inspiration. The key buying distinction is the generation: Series 1 has fixed lugs and a pass-through nylon strap; Series 2 uses a removable integrated bracelet.
This is a source-based look at the watch, not a first-person wear test. The fit observations below are attributed to Worn & Wound reviewer Ilya Ryvin.
What is the Autodromo Group B?
Autodromo’s official archive describes the Group B as a tribute to the rally era from 1982 to 1986, a period the brand associates with technical development and exotic materials. The watch’s high-contrast dial takes its cue from period racing instrumentation. Worn & Wound’s review of the original model names the Lancia 037 tachometer as the specific reference. Hodinkee’s 2015 launch coverage reports that rally-car horsepower output doubled during that half-decade. That is Hodinkee’s account of the period, rather than a specification of the watch. Autodromo founder and creative director Bradley Price described Group B as “the last romantic era of motorsport,” in a quotation reported by Hodinkee. [Hodinkee’s 2015 introduction]

Series 1 and Series 2: the differences that matter
Autodromo’s archive dates Series 1 to 2015 and Series 2 to 2018, with later editions following. Both are described as having a two-part, 39 mm titanium capsule and a Miyota 9015 automatic movement. The practical distinction is how each attaches to the wrist.
| Feature | Group B Series 1 | Group B Series 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Release timing | 2015, according to Autodromo’s archive | 2018, according to Autodromo’s archive; later editions followed |
| Attachment | Fixed lugs | Integrated stainless-steel bracelet, removable with a spring bar tool |
| Included wristwear | Single-pass nylon strap, according to the archive; Worn & Wound’s original-model review lists two nylon pass-through straps | Integrated stainless-steel bracelet |

- Edifice Motorsports Chronograph, inspired by classic sportscars
- Water Resistance rating of 100M | 10 ATM ensures your watch is protected during light water activities
- Built to last, with durable sapphire crystal over the dial, and stainless steel case|band construction
- Additional features include a 1-second Chronograph, with measuring capacity of 59'59, and a date indicator at the 4.5 o'clock position
Choosing between the strap systems
Series 1’s fixed lugs make its pass-through strap part of the design; it is not built around the same bracelet-removal arrangement as Series 2. On Series 2, Autodromo says the integrated bracelet can be removed with a spring bar tool so the watch can be worn on a strap. Worn & Wound lists a 20 mm lug width for that version, but fit should be checked against the exact reference before buying a replacement.
Series 2 specifications and reviewer impressions
Worn & Wound’s 2019 hands-on review lists the Series 2 with a Miyota 9015 automatic movement, sapphire lens, stainless-steel bracelet, and 50 m water resistance. The same review gives dimensions of 39 mm by 51 mm, 10.2 mm thick, with a 20 mm lug width. These are the review’s Series 2 figures; they should not be assumed for every subsequent edition.

Ryvin writes that the watch “doesn’t wear like it’s 51-millimeters long—at all,” attributing that impression to the downturned lugs. He also describes the case as sitting close to the wrist and the bracelet as wrapping comfortably. Those are his observations, not a first-person assessment here. He cautions that very thick replacement straps may not clear the case, a useful fit consideration if changing the Series 2 from its bracelet. [Worn & Wound’s Series 2 review]
What the original Group B figures tell you
The original-model numbers differ slightly from the Series 2 review. Worn & Wound lists the original Group B at 39 mm by 50 mm, 10 mm thick, and 20 mm lug width, with 50 m water resistance. Hodinkee’s 2015 introduction reports a 39 mm case, 52 g weight, and approximately 42 hours of power reserve for the Miyota 9015. The two sources describe the original’s construction as combining titanium and steel; Worn & Wound identifies a sapphire crystal.
