The key difference is what each watch does: the MR01 is a 36mm micro-rotor automatic with small seconds, the 38mm HMS 002 is an automatic three-hander, and the 38mm Bicompax 002 is a hand-wound chronograph.
What the Gold PVD finish means
The November 2023 versions pair black dials and gold-colored details with gold PVD-coated stainless-steel cases, according to Time+Tide and Fratello. PVD is a surface coating; the coverage does not describe these cases as solid gold.
The shared treatment makes the three watches a coordinated stylistic release, but their movements and displays are different. The following specifications and prices are those reported around the launch, not confirmation of current stock or offers.

Specifications and historical prices in the table were reported by Time+Tide and Fratello in 2023. Fratello gives the HMS 002 and Bicompax 002 as 13mm overall, while also discussing roughly 10mm case thickness without the crystal; thickness figures may therefore depend on measurement basis.

Choosing by movement and function
MR01: automatic with small seconds
The MR01 uses a Hangzhou CAL5000a automatic micro-rotor movement, with hours, minutes and a separate small-seconds display. At 36mm across and 44mm lug-to-lug, it is the smallest of the three by reported diameter and length. Its reported water resistance is 30m / 3 ATM.
HMS 002: automatic central seconds
The HMS 002 is the straightforward three-hand option: its Miyota 8315 automatic movement drives hours, minutes and central seconds. Its reported dimensions are 38mm across and 47mm lug-to-lug, with 50m / 5 ATM water resistance.

Bicompax 002: manually wound chronograph
The Bicompax 002 is the functional outlier. Its Seagull ST1901 is a manual-wind, column-wheel chronograph movement with a 30-minute chronograph. It shares the HMS 002’s reported 38mm diameter, 47mm lug-to-lug length and 50m / 5 ATM water resistance.
Case, crystal and strap details
Launch reports describe the watches with domed hesalite or acrylic crystals, black leather straps and gold PVD buckles. Check the exact reference’s product details if crystal or strap specifications are decisive, since these are variant-specific details. The reported 20mm lug width may be relevant when considering another strap, but fit should be confirmed for the exact watch.

Launch pricing and availability
Fratello reported launch prices excluding taxes of €545 for the MR01, €385 for the HMS 002 and €565 for the Bicompax 002. These are November 2023 launch figures, not verified current prices.
At launch, the MR01 and Bicompax 002 were expected to ship in December 2023, while the HMS 002 was expected at the end of January 2024, according to Time+Tide and Fratello. Those scheduled dates do not establish whether the watches are currently available. Check Baltic or a retailer for live inventory and pricing before buying.
