“Ode to Nature” is the theme of Baume & Mercier’s 2024 Riviera color story, not the name of a single watch. Its two green references are the elegant 39 mm Riviera M0A10770 and the sportier M0A10763. The green dials evoke pine groves and wooded coastal mountains overlooking the sea.
What “Ode to Nature” means on the Riviera
Baume & Mercier used the phrase in a press release dated 4 September 2024 to present four Riviera models through colors drawn from Mediterranean landscapes. - Riviera M0A10770: The 39 mm, more elegant green option. The brand describes a smoked green sapphire dial, gold-tone Roman numerals and hands, a polished and satin-finished steel case, a steel bracelet, and an automatic Baumatic manufacture movement. It has a date display.
- Riviera M0A10763: The sportier green option. The 2024 release groups it with models featuring a sandblasted, ADLC-coated steel bezel, four screws, and a rubber strap. Those details should not be confused with the 10770’s bracelet and dial specifications.

Start with the wearing style, not just the shared dial color. The 10770 pairs its green dial with a steel bracelet and a more refined presentation; the 10763 is the sportier design, with a rubber strap and dark-coated bezel treatment. The brand’s official listing identifies the 10770 as a 39 mm automatic date model. The cited release does not give a comparable size or movement specification for the 10763, so confirm those details against its current product listing before comparing fit or mechanics.

Riviera design and history
Baume & Mercier dates the Riviera’s launch to 1973 and describes it as a sports-elegance watch whose steel sports-watch design was unusual for its time. The brand identifies the twelve-sided case and bezel as a defining design code, carried through later versions in steel, mixed metals, and solid gold. This historical framing reflects the brand’s own account.
