They released a Black Sparkle special edition of the existing Beats Fit Pro platform, with the main changes limited to its finish, branding and presentation. The U.S. launch price was $199.99, and retail availability began on April 4, 2024.
As of 2026, this is best viewed as a historical, style-focused collaboration. Buyers seeking a current Beats workout earbud should also consider the Powerbeats Fit, which Beats now describes as the next generation of Beats Fit Pro.

The collaboration was announced on April 2, 2024, with availability planned for April 4 through select Apple and Alo Yoga stores, Apple’s online store and Alo Yoga’s website. Preorders were reported through Alo Yoga at the time. Those dates and the $199.99 price are historical launch details, not proof that new units remain available in 2026. AppleInsider’s launch report has the original retail details.

- High-performance earbuds for working out, with universal secure-fit wingtips that gently tuck in your ear for exceptional stability and all-day comfort. The custom acoustic platform delivers powerful, balanced Beats sound across the full audio spectrum.
- Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) blocks external sounds to give you absolute focus. Transparency mode lets you hear your surroundings when you want to.
- IPX4 sweat and water resistance to handle intense workouts in the rain, heat or snow. The charging case is 17% smaller than its predecessor.** The case is also sweat and water resistant with an IPX4 rating.
- Up to 30 hours of battery life with the charging case, and up to 7 hours per bud on one charge. With Fast Fuel, a quick 5-minute charge gives up to 1 hour playback when battery is low.
- Supports Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking. Adaptive EQ tailors your sound to each earbud’s personal fit and seal, adjusting audio to you.
What changed from the standard Beats Fit Pro?
The special edition received a glossy, glitter-like treatment designed to create a liquid-metal appearance. The case also had a reflective interior. The earbuds featured pearlized Beats logos, while the right earbud carried a debossed Alo logo.
These are cosmetic and presentation changes. The available launch reporting does not establish a new driver, processor, microphone system, battery, wireless-charging system or noise-cancellation architecture. Calling it a “new Beats Fit Pro” without explaining the special-edition status is therefore misleading.
The launch campaign featured Tyla wearing the earbuds in the Bahamas, with her song “Safer” used in the promotional video. That was campaign context, not a product feature.

Is it suitable for workouts?
The flexible wingtip is intended to keep the earbuds stable during movement. That makes the design suitable for activities such as gym sessions, treadmill workouts and commuting, provided the wingtip fits the wearer comfortably.
Rank #2
- Flexible, secure-fit wingtips for all-day comfort and stability
ANC can reduce surrounding gym and travel noise, while Transparency mode helps with conversations, announcements and nearby traffic. IPX4 means the earbuds can handle sweat and light splashing, but they are not waterproof. Do not swim or shower with them, and keep the charging case away from sweat, rain and other moisture.
Fit remains personal. Changing the ear-tip size and adjusting the insertion angle can affect comfort, bass response, passive isolation, ANC performance and stability. A wingtip that improves security for one wearer may create pressure for another.

With a recent iPhone, pairing normally starts by opening the case near an unlocked phone while the earbuds remain inside, then following the on-screen instructions.
Android users can pair through Bluetooth or use the Beats app for setup and controls. Apple users may receive additional ecosystem features such as one-touch pairing, “Hey Siri,” Find My, Audio Sharing and Automatic Switching where supported.
Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking has more specific requirements than ordinary Bluetooth playback. It depends on compatible content, apps and supported Apple hardware, so it should not be treated as a universal feature on every phone or recording.

What does it cost and where can you find it now?
The announced U.S. price was $199.99 before tax. The original retail channels were select Apple and Alo Yoga locations, Apple’s website and Alo Yoga’s website.
In 2026, readers should not assume that a retailer listing represents current official stock. The collaboration may appear as discontinued inventory, open-box merchandise, refurbished units or marketplace listings. Resale prices can exceed the original launch price, but a premium is only defensible to a buyer who specifically values the Black Sparkle design or Alo branding.

Buy the Alo edition if the design is the point
It makes sense for an Alo Yoga customer, collector or existing Beats Fit Pro fan who specifically wants the Black Sparkle finish and can find a genuine, reasonably priced unit from a reputable seller. It is not the logical choice if the buyer expects newer internal hardware or improved performance.
Choose Powerbeats Fit for the current successor
Powerbeats Fit is the clearest current alternative for someone who wants a new official Beats workout earbud. Beats positions it as the next generation of Beats Fit Pro, lists it at $199.99 on its U.S. site, and states up to 30 hours of battery life with the charging case.

- BUILT FOR ATHLETES WHO DON'T STOP: After 1,500 hours of testing across athletes of every ear shape and intensity level, Powerbeats Pro 2 delivers a secure-fit earhook that stays locked on — whether you're in a sprint, a heavy lift, or a full class.
- TUNE OUT THE GYM. TUNE INTO YOUR WORKOUT: Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) designed specifically for training environments — filters the noise floor so you can lock on, with Transparency mode to let in what matters when it matters.
- YOUR HEART RATE, RIGHT FROM YOUR EARS: Built-in sensors pulse 100+ times per second for real-time heart rate tracking without a chest strap or watch. Train smarter and keep your hands free. IPX4 rated for sweat and water resistance.
- 45 HOURS. ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE WEEK: Powered by the Apple H2 chip, Powerbeats Pro 2 delivers up to 45 hours of total listening time with the charging case — the first wireless Qi-charging case from Beats. Running low? Fast Fuel means a 5-minute charge gives you 1.5 hours of playback.
- WORKS SEAMLESSLY WITH APPLE AND ANDROID: One-touch pairing, automatic device switching, and hands-free Siri on Apple. Full feature access including Heart Rate Monitoring, customizable controls, and battery widgets on Android via the Beats app for Android.
It is the better choice when battery life, current availability and the successor design matter more than Alo branding. It is not a substitute for someone who specifically wants the older Fit Pro shape or Black Sparkle finish.
Choose Powerbeats Pro 2 for the most workout-focused package
Powerbeats Pro 2 is the higher-priced option, listed at $249.99 on Beats’ comparison page. Its key advantages for the right buyer include earhooks, longer stated battery life, wireless charging and workout heart-rate monitoring.
That extra hardware is less compelling if the buyer wants a smaller, less conspicuous earbud or does not need those workout features.
Buying checklist for remaining or resale stock
- Confirm that the listing is the Black Sparkle Beats x Alo collaboration, not a standard Fit Pro in another color.
- Check whether the unit is new, open-box, refurbished or used.
- Review the seller’s reputation, return window and warranty coverage.
- Inspect packaging and branding carefully; limited editions can attract counterfeit listings.
- Ask how long the item has been stored. A 2026 secondhand unit may have reduced battery capacity even if unused.
- Be cautious of listings calling it a “2026 model” or “new-generation Beats Fit Pro.” The documented launch was in 2024.
- Compare the total price with the current Powerbeats Fit before paying a large collectible premium.
Bottom line
The Beats x Alo Black Sparkle Fit Pro is a fashion-led special edition, not a confirmed technical overhaul. Its ANC, Transparency mode, wingtip fit, spatial audio support, IPX4 earbuds and up-to-24-hour stated battery life come from the existing Beats Fit Pro platform. Buy it for the finish, branding or collectibility; choose Powerbeats Fit for a current successor at the same nominal U.S. price, or Powerbeats Pro 2 for earhooks and additional workout features.
