Bell & Ross identifies the steel-bracelet listing as reference BRV123-BL-GMT/SST, although its technical specifications describe a black woven-rubber strap. Its fixed graduated bezel and 100-meter water resistance give it a tool-watch brief; the manufacturer’s US and UK listings both marked it unavailable when checked, so availability should be confirmed locally.
What the BR 123 GMT 24H does
The watch displays local hours and minutes with conventional hands, while a separate hand tracks a second time zone against a 24-hour scale. That makes it useful for keeping home time visible while traveling or following another time zone. It is a GMT display, not a world timer: the documented configuration has a fixed graduated bezel, not a rotating city ring or a bezel that can be repositioned to calculate additional zones.
Bell & Ross calls the movement BR-CAL.303, an automatic mechanical caliber. The listed functions are hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a second time zone on 24 hours (GMT). The fixed bezel provides a scale for reading the GMT hand; because it does not rotate, it cannot be adjusted as a separate timing or time-zone control.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The product page’s heading describes the item as “41 mm,” while its technical specification gives a 42 mm case diameter; 42 mm is the detailed figure in the specification. The listing title and URL refer to a bracelet, but the configuration’s listed strap is black woven rubber, so confirm the actual strap supplied by the seller and region before buying. How the design fits the GMT role
The BR 123 uses a round steel case rather than the square case associated with many Bell & Ross designs. Its presentation is comparatively restrained: Fratello’s historical review characterizes the Vintage BR 123 GMT 24H as having more of a tool-watch presence than a city-ring world timer. That is a design framing from Fratello, not a claim of personal handling or a current comparison with competing models.
The trade-off is straightforward. A dedicated 24-hour hand keeps a second zone in view without requiring the wearer to select a city, while the fixed graduated bezel keeps the display visually simple. In exchange, the bezel is not an adjustable GMT aid, and the available specifications do not establish how easily the indications can be read in every lighting condition or at a glance. Buyers should judge that in person if legibility is decisive.
Setting the second time zone and servicing
Bell & Ross has a technical notice for the BR-CAL.303 GMT-24H self-winding movement. It describes setting the second time zone with the crown in its GMT setting position and the bezel in its neutral position. Consult the notice for the exact crown positions and full setting sequence rather than inferring steps from a different Bell & Ross GMT watch; rotating-bezel instructions for BR-03 models do not apply to this BR 123’s fixed bezel.
The maker recommends that servicing be handled by a Bell & Ross service centre or an approved watchmaker. The BR-V movement notice contains the setting and service guidance.

The official specifications establish the basic proposition, but they do not answer several practical ownership questions. No verified measurements or comparative testing are available here for fit, thickness, weight, accuracy, power reserve, bracelet dimensions, or lume performance. If those factors will determine your choice, verify them on the specific watch rather than treating the product listing as evidence.

- Try the 42 mm case on your wrist and check whether the local-time and GMT indications remain easy to distinguish.
- Confirm whether the watch being offered comes on the listed woven-rubber strap or another configuration; do not assume the “bracelet” page title guarantees a metal bracelet.
- Ask the seller to demonstrate date and GMT setting, and use Bell & Ross’s movement notice for the complete procedure.
- Confirm current regional price, stock status, and service arrangements directly with the seller.
Fratello’s historical review offers an independent design perspective, but it should not be read as a current market comparison or as evidence about the condition of any watch offered for sale.
